Bakers Delight Richmond Marketplace — Restaurant in Sydney

This Bakers Delight in the Richmond Marketplace is much better than the [other one in Richmond Mall where the owner handles all the bread items by his raw hand].

Pauline and the girls here are top notch and always greet you with a smile. Coles and Woolworths are the best two grocery stores in Richmond. A special trip is made just to come here after shopping at Coles ~ to get bread items required.

There may be a queue, but service is fast so don't despair. The elderly folk seem to keep count on the order sequence of the line if you so happen to push in by mistake. They will single you out with abrupt comments but hey they are just old and cranky. It's like there is no tomorrow but maybe for them...

The line was wrapped past the butcher today and the two young girls were left by the manger to serve while she individually packed and walked packs of bacon rolls to the front of the store. She would “look” busy by doing one at a time and leaving customers to wait. I waited nearly 15 minutes and this lady could have helped. Obviously the young girls don’t know any better to see when their manager is taking the piss....

Came across this gem entirely by accident, but I'm super impressed. Fantastic looking store, brilliant merchandising and exceptional customer service - thanks Lara and Ashleigh. This is seriously an outlet that everyone operating a Bakers Delight store needs to visit to see how it SHOULD be done. I would recommend a trip here even if it's out...
