The Richmond Inn is a fantastic venue for any Hawkesbury Locals (or people from out of area) looking for a gorgeously aesthetic place to catch up for a meal or drinks, thanks to their friendly staff, delicious food options and a great kids play area (complete with ball pit!) We were very impressed with the lovely design of the venue with many different seating areas both indoors and outdoors, each with a different look and feel. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and we really appreciated their suggestions on food and drink options, along with the slushies they made out kids! The Family Area with adjoining kids play room is fantastic; it allows you to eat and relax whilst knowing your kids are nearby, safe and enjoying themselves at the same time. Every meal we’ve eaten here so far has been delicious and fairly priced; we’ve been very impressed with the menu as a whole and look forward to returning and trying more options soon! The only potential negative would be that the carpark is very small and not equipped to deal with a large number of patrons. This means either parking in the McDonalds carpark across the road, or in the Richmond Marketplace carpark adjacent. This isn’t a huge issue as there are usually a fair number of free spaces in either of these car parks but obviously isn’t ideal, and is something to be wary of if you’re bringing...
Read moreA nice big room with comfortable beds. Clean and bright. A great shower. Friendly staff. Good food in the Bistro. As there was a party on Saturday we were offered a 10% discount on our room and a $30 bistro voucher to compensate us for the noise. We thought it was one night only, turned out to be Friday and Saturday. Not happy. At the room rate they charge fresh milk and breakfast would have been appropriate. They also don't make up the room, hence the photo but I now understand as an inn they are basically a pub with rooms and I probably expected too much. I recommend you don't stay Friday or Saturday nights if you're likely to be disturbed by the noise levels from dance music (doof doof). Also, there are small steps everywhere so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem plus they lock the garden bar doors early, which cuts off the shortcut to the rooms. We had to walk around the outside of the building to get to our room. Bottom line all these things were minor inconveniences but at $200+ a night I expected better. My fault. I didn't do enough research. Would I go back?...
Read moreWe must congratulate whoever decorated the motel rooms on getting colours, bedding, bathroom and comfort just right. Credit is due to management who must have given free rein to the decorator who created the best motel room we have stayed in for a very long time. We saw another room in addition to ours and both were different. The king size bed was super comfy as were the pillows. There was a very long wooden bench that was perfect to throw everything on that is needed when travelling. The tiled shower was beautiful (loved the colours) with a large shower head that had plenty of water flow. The usual tea and coffee making corner plus fridge and two easy chairs. After all the bland or just awful decorating we have seen at booked accommodation over the years this motel room was a delight. Of course the accommodation is near a hotel so expect some noise on weekends although once the door was closed and the very efficient air con on we did not hear anything. Very handy to have a drink in the bar and eat at the restaurant. Also there are other restaurants within...
