This cafe will be my go to brekkie stop in Richmond. Business travel and staying in motels is so boring. The Black Duck Espresso Cafe took away my ennui.

So few baristas make memorable macchiatos. In my mind this is the test for any cafe. The macchiato was so good I went back for a second. Great blend, well constructed, just the right length and a gorgeous flavour.

My brekkie was the ubiquitous and much maligned smashed avocado with trimmings and a fried egg on top. This dish was also a winner. The rest of the menu was interesting with sufficient variety to keep most happy.

This venue is the pure definition of 5 star service, food and atmosphere.. If you are ever within 100 kms of this cafe then you should seriously make an effort to visit, it is worth the effort and then some... Demi and the team provide exceptional service; both friendly and professional, they just make you feel absolutely welcome..

The food is amazing, the breakfast burger is to die for.. I will NEVER visit Richmond again and not visit this amazing little slice of paradise...
