A very disappointing experience. We had a 12.30pm Sunday lunch booking to celebrate two family birthdays for 6 adults and 2 children. After being seated for 30mins, we had to chase service staff to take our lunch orders. Lunch then took nearly 90mins to be served. During our extended wait, we asked for some extra bread portions for some dips to keep us going. The extra bread - one piece of flat bread costing us $8 arrived 5 mins after we recieved our mains.

Service staff blamed delays on a pre-booked large function inside the restaurant. But I cannot understand why they accepted lunch reservations if they would struggle to the function?

We watched smaller tables arrive, order after us, recieve their meals, leave and pay before we had even got our mains.

We toyed with the idea of leaving, and going elsewhere for lunch. We also toyed with eating the birthday cake we brought with us. We raised concerns about delays a few times with service staff, and were told a few times that we would receive our mains in 10mins time.... which were clearly just a lie.

It is difficult to rate the quality of the food, as we were all starving by the time it had arrived. However, general feeling at our table was that the food was cold, and lamb in the salad was tough.

At the time of paying the bill, we voiced our upset again at the service recieved. This was met with a woeful 'sorry' and a 10% discount from our $253 bill. The bill would have been much larger had they been more attentive with drinks service.

Luckily, we avoided any cakeage fee by leaving the restaurant as soon as we finished mains.

In summary, whole heartedly disappointing, casting a sour note on what would have otherwise 3been a happy family celebration.
