Located in the massive South Sydney Corporate Park, I’ve visited this spot before—though I wasn’t sure if it was still the same place. It’s been a while, so I figured it was worth giving it another crack. I came in for breakfast/brunch, still on the mission to find a great eggs Benny in the area (maybe I’m not trying hard enough). After confirming the hollandaise is made in-house, that was enough for me. I ordered the eggs Benedict with bacon and a large flat white. Nice touch—they asked how I wanted the bacon cooked (crispy or soft)—not something you get asked often. I went with crispy. The plate arrived well put together: • Eggs perfectly poached • Sourdough toasted just right • Baby spinach fresh and generous • House-made hollandaise was solid That said, the bacon didn’t quite hit the mark for me—maybe a little overcooked, and didn’t balance as well with the rest of the dish. Next time, I’d probably skip the bacon altogether and let the other ingredients shine. The coffee was good, smooth and well-made—no complaints there. A few things let the atmosphere down a bit—used boxes and milk crates stacked (neatly) in the dining space don’t help the dining experience. While I was served in good time, I watched someone else walk in, wait too long, and leave without ordering—a missed opportunity, especially in today’s climate. That said, I’ll definitely be back again soon. There’s potential here, and I’m keen to see how it shapes up next time.

Coffee is fine, Bain-marie food is good. I didn’t mind coming here until today. I ordered a vegetable burger from the menu. The menu said chickpea and lentil with avocado, carrot, etc. when I took a bite I went back to check the menu because what I got was not chickpea and lentil and there was so carrot. The patty was what you get at quick takeaway places, frozen corn/pea/potato style patty which is then deep fried. The waitress asked what I was after and I told her i had to check the menu again because what I got was not a chickpea and lentil patty. She said she would ask the chef. She came back a few moments later and insisted I received chickpea and lentil. Didn’t look herself, didn’t offer to change my burger. It tasted horrible. If you have run out of the correct food you must tell your customer and admit when you’ve made a mistake. Certainly changed my opinion on this cafe.

The place is certainly unique and special, with classic decor as the main theme. They hold an event every two to three months where they change the decor according to the annual occasion, and they truly excel at it. However, the place has one drawback – it’s quite small. Lunch prices are a bit high. If they could separate the coffee area entirely from everything else, it would complete the experience.

Ordered a blueberry bagel with bit extra butter and little bit of cream cheese, when the lady who prepared my food puts HUGE amount of butter that my bagel was soaked in better and started to wrap my bagel and I said to her I did ask for cream cheese as well(nicely), she acted really impatient and ask the guy who took my order and yelled: ā€˜she as for cream cheese.’ The guy who took my order and started blaming me saying ā€˜I did ask you you said butter’. Yes I did, and also cream cheese. When the boss was working there he was so nice to everyone, but unfortunately he has some very rude staff ruining the business, will...
