I’m Brazilian and I’m sad to leave a low rating for a Brazilian restaurant. We ordered pastels and I got a draft beer from the neighboring brewery. While we waited for our order at an outdoor table with the beer, a woman from the staff tells in English that we can’t have the beer over there because Chachii doesn’t have an alcohol license - BLUNT LIE: after we finished our pastels we saw waitresses serving bottled beer and caipirinhas. Following the rules of the house we moved to a table 5 meters away, that was part of the brewery area, and left our order number at Chachii’s table as requested by the staff. Our order arrived and we hadn’t finished the beer. The same woman adamantly forbade us from taking the food to the brewery table. We had to leave our drink in a table 5m away from Chachii’a table where we ate our food 🤡🤡 this woman at any time asked us if we needed anything, she only showed up to dictate stern rules. A nice brazilian waitress realized the unpleasant situation and offered us water. In fact the 2 female Brazilian waitresses were the only members of the staff that made us feel welcome in that place. It’s a shame because the atmosphere would be so different with more flexibility and friendliness. It’s in a great spot, relaxed vibe, there was a fantastic band playing chorinho…but our experience was poor for the money we left. Food wise: pastel dough was thick and heavy, very different from any pastel from Brazil. Pizza dough was nice but portuguesa didn’t taste like portuguesa. Frango com catupiry was good. Torresmo com goiabada was an interesting combination in a positive way, first time I tried it. Hope management gives some thought to this review beyond the automatic reply “sorry for the bad...

I went for the first time a few weeks ago at the new store in Alexandria and I got a bad experience with the staffs there but I thought it was only a bad day. So I went back days ago and I had a bad experience with the staffs and with the food. I asked for a Parmigiana which the rice and the smashed potatoes were cold and the meat (filet mignon) had a huge nerve inside. I promptly complained and stop eating at the same moment. They only offered to change my plate and nothing else so I thought unfair to still pay 35 dollars for same plate. Then I sent to them an email talking about that day and asking for refund but they denied that I would have to ask for a refund on the same but they did not offer a refund to me.I was so disappointed that I left the place. Anyway, I think it would be the minimum to be done and for these reasons I think this restaurant is really far from the real Brazilian food and even further from a good...

After seeing all the positive reviews for Chachii Sydney, I was looking forward to having a great experience. In the end, I was disappointed and honestly annoyed with everything. We ordered food at 1 pm which was two Picanha Steak and one Coxinha. After waiting for an hour, we only received two plates of Picanha Steak. Not only that, but I had told the female server (that was acting very rude and didn’t even bother to pretend to look polite or give a smile) 3 times that I wanted medium rare steak, and that I wanted the same thing on the receipt as my partner. However, it came out well done, which honestly really annoyed me, and ate it anyways since we had to wait so long for the food. After reminding them that they forgot our Coxinha, they tried to double charge us and we had to correct them. After waiting another 15min, we left empty-handed as I had to return to work as a result of this service taking...

A strangely located restaurant with surprisingly decent food! Came here for lunch and had some of their mains, I had some sort of lamb ricotta bruschetta whilst she had the burger that her friend would rave about. The real foods to rave about are the Brazilian cheese balls however, as this small side dish is a hell of a pastry made up in the clouds. They were so tasty and soft and we would’ve been happy having two or three of these to eat. Anyways, the lamb was quite good, it was nice and tender, but the ricotta masked a lot of its flavour as the entire plate eventually drowned in it, definitely way too much in this dish. The burger was also good, and had a strange yet burger-y taste that i dont know how to explain. Chips were delicious. I also had their nutella donut which was fantastic, and I’m always happy to see one!
