Cafe Saluto — Restaurant in Sydney

Rather poor form I suggest, or very average at best. The quality of food is very institutional like something you might expect to be served in a hospital, prison or an old folks home. I had a bacon and egg roll which was edible, but only just. The bacon was ok but the roll was soggy and the egg was well and truly overcooked making it very rubbery. Service was friendly, but lacking in professionalism and fairly inept. My order was very simple, but they still managed to mess it up. I visited Cafe Saluto on Saturday for brunch. The cafe had a lovely atmosphere with plenty of sunlight, creating a perfect weekend vibe. The staff were friendly and provided prompt service, which was great.

For our meals, we ordered the full Aussie breakfast and the steak sandwich. Both dishes were served warm and had robust flavors. The food had an amazing appeal in terms of taste and seasoning.

We had a long black and a chai latte as well and we didn't regret either choice. I recommend ordering coffee along with your meal.

I wished that this cafe would be better. Upon entering it is well presented clean & modern. Unfortunately it is let down by its food & coffee. I visited a number of times to make a fair evaluation. The food is bland, changing their bread would be a good start. Coffee is Tobys Estate but here it lacks the bold strong flavour I've experienced from other cafes using this brand.
