Casula Fish Market — Restaurant in Sydney

Honestly terrible experience by the staff members of this shop. I always buy ling fillets from them, before I never had this experience. Maybe 2 months ago I went and bought and that time I found the fish had worms inside, I took it back without complaining because I understand these things can happen. One of the owners seen it and he said yes they are worms and I got a different fish. Today I went in again and got served by this short lady. She remembered I brought back the ling fish the last time and I said I want try to buy it again and she mentioned maybe get a different one (rudely) but I wanted to try it again as I mentioned I used buy this with no problems before. So came home and unluckily fish had a worm inside. I said okay maybe I am just unlucky, and I spoke to the same lady that served me and she looks at me and goes “I knew you would do this, you always do this” like if it was my fault and I enjoy doing this. Then she proceeded to say “lots of customers buy and never bring it back and you are the only one that always does this” (I cut the fish very tiny, so of course I am gonna notice) maybe they don’t even notice it, but anyways that’s not even the problem. They tried convincing me that it is not worms (but see for yourself in the photo). I had no problems taking it back (maybe I was just unlucky) but It definitely wasn’t the way of speaking to your customer. Spoke to the manager and she didn’t seem to care :) I ended up exchanging it for a different fish. I’m writing this review as this incident occurred today hence the details will be reliable. I went into the store at 5:20 to order some sashimi. The store clerk said that I have to cut the salmon myself. That was understandable however, there were a few workers just standing around as there were not many customers. They could’ve cut the salmon. I asked if he can ask the owner and he said the owner says no, I said just ask him please. He returned to tell me that the owner is not in store. He said that they don’t cut sashimi on the weekdays. He suggested that I cut it myself, I told him that I am not going home and I will not have accessibility to a knife. He suggested that I should go Woolworths. He was very friendly however, he could have cut the salmon without causing all this inconvenience. He then left and another lady attended to me, the lady said they won’t cut as the store is closing soon. Another lady intervened and said that I should buy a knife and cut it myself. I’m not upset that they didn’t cut it I was upset that they didn’t understand that I can’t cut it even though some workers were not occupied with anything. Dear Casula fish market customers Just let uz know that u have to b very carefull what u buy and see in yr bag after u purchased The weight if u had yr fish or anything cut & cleaned Cuz I brought 4 lobster tails Yep ask her 4 Had it weight , not cheap priced & a kg of tiger prawns came to $189 ‘s since it was new years I didn’t mind feeding my family Guess what from the scale to my bag one tail disappeared Since it was very bizzy I didn’t check Came home , opened the bag only three was there Vvery disappointed I rang them bt no answer I tried several times still no answer So thought of driving bk there Talk to same girl who very surprised to see me Ask her were my forth lobster tail was ?
