CHA Point Riverwood — Restaurant in Sydney

Chapoint restless wait got me down when bubble tea's a new thing and I'm too used to instant satisfaction plus I don't really know what to expect. There's only one staff on and a whole heap of orders arriving online and in-store so there's a whole heap of work to do and only one woman for the job. These greedy business owners sure push their staff to see how much they can do. Still, the young lady behind the counter does a magnificent job of keeping the work flow going and is to be congratulated. Every single time I drive or walk past this place there's a queue as long as my arm of people waiting to pay $6 for what is, effectively, milk flavoured water with the strange presence of gelatinous bubbles. In other words, I really don't get the attraction. Must be an age thing. Doesn't really float my boat but the kids love it and after experiencing a similar yet larger scale crush in downtown Tokyo the arrival of bubble tea on the retail scene in Sydney is, like Thanos of the Marvel movie...

This afternoon I ordered 1 drink, was still waiting 20 minutes later. Fair enough, they were busy, though they actually got busier after I had ordered. Was only a few orders before mine initially. I think they need a better system when it’s busy. As a group who ordered before me got their drinks first. Asked where my drink was and they couldn’t even find it. I think it was mixed in with other drink orders?? Also seemed they weren’t actually making drinks in order they were received. They said they’d make it straight way which was good. But the drink was wrong and I was late for an appointment already (never thought I’d be waiting over 20 minutes for one single drink). So unfortunately had to cancel and get a refund. Which is a shame as the drinks are great and I was really looking forward to it. Hopefully better service...

I heard of this place from coworkers so I decided to try. I bought the Jasmine milk tea and it tasted ok. I think the milk flavour was strong for my liking. They have many topping option :) . The decoration looks pretty. I think the owner put lots of effort on it 👏👏 Beside milk tea, they have sweet and icecream too 👍 I saw some negative reviews and I was surprised. On the menu, they mentioned it would cost extra 1 dollar so I fully awared of it. I guess they should mentioned the cost more obvious to people who don't read menu. Some fruit tea goes with water as original recipes, it's normal because I know other milk tea places did the same. Don't expect fruit tea to be healthy unless you do it at home with fresh fruits.
