I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. As an Uber driver, I arrived to pick up an order that wasn’t ready when I got there. I waited outside as instructed for about 10 minutes. When I went back in, I noticed several orders placed on the parcel table. Since no one was available to hand over the order, I simply checked the bags to match the number on my phone.
However, the owner rudely yelled “DRIVER! DRIVER!” at me and his employees. When I was leaving, he called me back, pointed his finger at me, and in an unreasonably harsh tone told me not to touch the bags again. When I politely asked him not to be rude, he told me to “shut up” while shaking his head disrespectfully.
It’s unacceptable for anyone, especially a business owner, to treat others in such a degrading manner. Respect is important no matter what someone’s role is. I am not his employee, and he had no right to speak to me like that. This behavior was extremely unprofessional, and I won’t be coming back.
Reply to Monte Carlo’s response on Rida’s review:
I completely disagree with your response, and it’s clear you’re trying to misinterpret the incident. First, there is no “PRIVATE AREA” in your restaurant for orders—it’s just a table next to the freezers where customers collect drinks. Whatever past issues you’ve had with Uber drivers is not my responsibility. If you had politely asked me not to touch the orders, I would’ve understood. Instead, you rudely pointed your finger and spoke disrespectfully.
Also, I waited outside your restaurant for more than 10 minutes, but no one showed up. I had other orders to pick up, and unlike your team, I don’t waste time. It’s obvious you have no sense of running a restaurant efficiently.
As for the old guy (who claims himself to be owner), yelling at employees the way he did was shocking. I AM NOT HIS EMPLOYEE, and he had no right to yell at me. When I calmly said, “I agree with you, but you don’t have to be rude,” his fragile ego couldn’t handle it, and he yelled, “SHUTUP.” Maybe he couldn’t handle a 5-foot girl standing up to him, but let me make it clear: I won’t tolerate such behavior. Learn to take responsibility and APOLOGIZE for...
Read moreI was born in 1985 and raised in Riverwood. I still live close by to my hometown and often travel through it quite often. Streets are still there, essentials, plaza and concadoro and are still there with slight change of apearance, but mostly everything else has changed .
However 1 think that's hasn't changed is that is Monte Carlo pizza shop. I went there tonight and learnt the same lovely owners are still there running the shops and actually working on the pizza table. Amazing! Legacy!
Brings me back to my childhood this shop does. I remember when mum didn't cook something I like, which wasn't that much except pizza and Maccas. Monte Carlo was on the tip of my tongue everytime. And tonight that same taste has been reunited with my palate. And those little white stands that I used as toys when I was a kit still using then. Gold!
Large supreme for $18 pick up . With meat veggies and prawns! Soo good. It smelt like a Saturday BBQ on a delicious crunchy fluffy base . Wow! Amazing again.
Thank you to Monte Carlo for the pizza, memory and still being there. I'm surprised I haven't been so frequent there in recent years. But I know now where I will frequent from now on and which shop I will recomend to all.
Really enjoyed the Pizza, it made my...
Read moreLocated at 1/208 Belmore Road, Riverwood, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺. Edit - I have been back several times now with my family and friends and it’s always great. The food is delicious and the staff continues to be so friendly and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble. It is very popular with the locals so can be crowded and therefore noisy. But I still enjoy coming. Love it!! 🥰 I had my 50th Birthday Celebration here tonight. We had too long tables but that wasn’t the fault of the restaurant, it was the the only way they could accommodate a group our size. It was a group of 30 and the noise level was through the roof. This made it difficult to hear each other talk, give orders and hear the staff when they brought the meals out. Saying this, the staff and owner was so accommodating with me and the group. I can’t thank enough for the service they gave. The food was pretty good, most of the group seemed to be pretty happy with their meal. I had the chilli prawn and crab spaghetti with sauce. It was lovely. The restaurant was very nicely decorated but it was quite humid in the room our group was in, I am not sure if the air conditioner was on....
