We tried Chaska Indian Street Food in Seven Hills today, and we were very pleased.
Sunday 17 November 2019 at 12pm: not busy when we arrived, but was full when we left at 1pm.
We tried a variety of dishes, and loved every single one of them. The menu has a huge selection of vegetarian dishes, and most of them can be ordered with no onion and/or no garlic. This was great as I cannot eat onion, and the flavour of the food was not impacted in any way.
The menu is very reasonably priced, totalling $112 for 8 dishes, two mango lassi, and a 760g of sweets from their sweet cabinet.
We ordered the paneer biryani ($12.90), paneer sizzler ($15.90), cheese and garlic naan ($5.90), paneer kulcha ($10.90), paneer tikka pizza ($10.90), veg kathi roll ($6.90), samosas ($5.00), cheese pav bhaji (10.90) and two mango lassi ($7.80), plus 760g of sweets ($19.76).
The only thing that I thought lacked flavour was the cheese pav bhaji. The cheese was forgotten and was served later and separately, so the cheese couldn't melt onto it. Everything else was fantastic, especially the paneer sizzler and the breads and pizza.
I would highly recommend Chaska Indian Street Food in Seven Hills for a lovely lunch. The staff were friendly and the owner/manager gentleman was, at one stage, showing a young girl the sweets counter and letting her choose one to try. Hospitality at it's finest.
Upon checking the receipt now and half way home, we have been charged for something we didn't order - the cheese vada pav ($5.90). A shame, but oh well.
Thank you, Chaska. We will definitely be back. Keep up the...
Read moreA Delicious and Hearty Sunday Buffet at Chaska 7Hills My family and I had a fantastic experience at Chaska 7Hills for their Sunday buffet. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The buffet itself was an amazing spread of delicious Indian curries, and what sets this restaurant apart is how they deliver the rest of the meal. After you've served yourself from the buffet, they bring a continuous flow of hot, fresh items right to your table, like crispy thosai, fluffy poori, and flavorful dumplings. It's a wonderful twist on the traditional buffet and ensures you get to enjoy these dishes at their absolute best. To top it all off, we finished our meal with a nice, hot cup of tea. The food was absolutely delicious—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. While the interior felt a little dated, I understand they're planning a kitchen renovation, which will only make this place better. The price was very reasonable, offering incredible value for money. You truly get more than you expect. I highly recommend Chaska 7Hills for a family breakfast or brunch. The combination of wonderful food, friendly service, and great value makes it...
Read moreWe were group of 8,we went to the restaurant today for the first time for buffet lunch.
We were very disappointed.
Firstly when I asked if the food had peanuts, the staff said all the food may have peanuts and we can't take the responsibility if something happens. I was very surprised, I have been to so many restaurants, the staff has always made an effort to go to chef and confirm regarding the peanuts, in this scenario even though they had south Indian, Chinese food in menu still they said it may have peanuts. Anyhow we decided to go ala carte for my son who is allergic to peanuts and rest of 7 went for buffet option. Service was very slack and half of the dishes were not even there. I asked the staff to fill the curries as the containers were empty,it took them half an hour to refill it.If sambhar was there idli was missing and vada never came.Gulab jamun was very bad. My suggestion to the restaurant owner will be instead of having 15 items in menu, keep 10 items and make sure quantity is sufficient.Advertised buffet timings is for the whole day but you guys were struggling to serve the...
