I just ordered the vegetable and tofu pad ke mao and it is absolutely wonderful! Packed FULL of many different vegetables - this is as delicious as it is healthy!! Never eaten such a packed, generous serving of vegetables by a takeaway ever...I just kept overlooking this place on ubereats but decided tonight to give it a try over my usual Vietnamese Chinese favourites. So glad I did! It's not the heaviest spiciest pad ke mao dish I've ever had (which is my usual preference) but it delivers on flavour and spice just nicely. I'm so happily surprised! I've tried to give it a 5 star rating on the ubereats app but it's just crashed. Therefore I'm going to the effort of writing them a review on Google as it's unheard of to get such a fresh jam packed dish at 9.40pm on a Tuesday night. This dish had LOTS of pumpkin, zucchini, broccoli, capsicum, green beans, mushrooms, carrots, pak choy, tofu and of course garlic, egg, chilli and basil. Blown away by how amazing this dish is for a $12 takeaway dish (twelve dollars!) Late at night especially. I will be ordering...
Read moreI reckon, for the money this place is the best Thai restaurant in Sydney. Randwick Junction has a plethora of pretty good Thai restaurants but none of them even come close to the quality of food that Chim Chim knocks out. I’m serious, this place has some of the best Thai food I have eaten anywhere in Australia. The massive flavour and clockwork like consistency is the sort of thing that you’d expect from a far more expensive, fine dining restaurant. I have been eating regularly at this place for many years and I have pretty much worked my way through the entire lunch and dinner menus and have never had a reason to complain about anything here. There are so many highlights on Chim Chim’s menu but my go to dish is the Kana Moo Grob, beautifully deep fried crispy chunks of pork belly on a bed of steamed rice and gai lan with a very sexy garlic, chilli and black bean sauce. I bloody love it! Very very highly...
Read more10% surcharge on public holiday, which is expected. So, we came for dinner and ordered:
Pla Sam Rod, fish with three flavored sauce. Crispy fish fillet with Chilli, Palm sugar, and tamarind juice with crispy basil. What I like about this dish: the texture of the dish, crispy outside and still moist and juicy inside. What I don’t like: sauce was a little too sweet,
Pad Prik Khing: Classic stir fry with chilli jam, green beans and kafir like leaves. As protein I choose pork belly. What I like: level of spiciness of the sauce and crunchiness from beans. What this dish can be improved : amount of pork belly, we had 5-6 pieces of pork belly in the dish it self. Well proportioned between meat and condiments are way off balance 😁.
Tom Yum with Prawns. I love everything about the dish, in fact we ordered extra bowl because serving size was little tiny.
Stir fry with ginger Everything was good, sauce was...
