Classic Noodle House — Restaurant in Sydney

This little restaurant is simple and more like a little takeaway. I've eaten here many times and they've usually been consistent with their food. It's run by a little lady who seems to do everything here. She's very polite, always smiling and seems to take pride in her cooking. Their prices are fair. You can eat in, or outside via the tables provided. The only criticism I have are; they don't often run the shops cooking vents, so you get a strong sense of the cooking oil in the air and can be quite overbearing, so we often tend to eat outside. The tables are not always clean, so there can be quite a level of bird poop everywhere, but you sort of look past it and deal with what you have. I always get their beek laksa which is GREAT. Ordered on Door Dash, there was approx an hour wait for delivery but it wasn't a problem for me. After an 1hr 20mins I call them to check if there is any problem and I'm told that I am 'too far away' and they will have to cancel my order. I asked why Door Dash offered their restaurant as an option for delivering to my address and was told Door Dash just accepts everything and they have no control and they've been cancelling and refunding lots of orders. This is not true; Door Dash allows users to set parameters to their preference for delivery area. We are regulars at the classic noodle house. On Friday evening we rang up for a takeaway order and were advised 20-25 minutes. My partner arrived on time and was told it would be another 15 minute wait. It ended up being 40 minutes from his arrival at the restaurant, over an hour from placing the order for the food to be ready. It’s disappointing that there was no genuine apology or explanation as to what was happening. He saw a couple order in person and then receive their food before him.
