We were one of 3 other tables there for breakfast. Ordered and had to wait 25 minutes for our coffees. We still hadn’t gotten our food after waiting for 45 minutes. One of the other tables of 7 had gotten their food when they ordered after us (table of 2). When I went up to ask how long the food would be. The front staff asked the kitchen. The kitchen said that they had already made it. Front staff asked them to make it again. The kitchen staff were arguing with the front staff and said that they had already made it.
We were quite upset at this point as we had waited so long when there were only 2 other tables that had gotten their food, and they were arguing about remaking the food. We also expected them to realise that we had not gotten our food, especially because they checked on the table right next to us.
I interrupted their fighting and just asked if we could get a refund instead. The front staff then asked me if I was in a hurry. This was very annoying because we had waited so long and the staff were still arguing about making our food again when it shouldn’t have been such a big deal. It wasn’t clear what was happening and they were clearly very unorganised.
They wanted to give us a refund in cash instead card which was our payment method but they didn’t have enough change so they wanted to go some out. We asked again if we could just get it refunded via card.
They refunded most of our meal, however after that whole ordeal and the arguing, it would have been nice if they would have apologised and refunded our coffees.
We wanted to try a new local restaurant. This situation was very disappointing when we can go to other restaurants that are packed with 20 tables full, and we can get still our food...
Read moreFood standard is generally quite fine. Only one waitress at the restaurant and she works very hard and has good customer service and should be commended.. However as the restaurant also provides dinner meals to the patrons within Quest apartments this one waitress has to leave the restaurant at regular intervals to deliver the dinners to the rooms of the people living in the apartments. As a result the service to patrons within the restaurant suffers and these guests are left sitting looking for some attention to their particular needs. There is a drink waiter there who it seems has many duties including supporting the line waitress. His attention and contribution to the overall customer service could be improved to give better impression of the restaurant. When we arrived at restaurant and was seated at our table - there was quite a subsequent delay until we had a need to ask for a menu to read and consider. Again this waiter also had a need at one stage to leave the restaurant and deliver a dinner to a patron within the apartments. As a result of these staff needing to do many duties including the food deliveries within the apartment the image and overall customer service and feel / atmosphere of the restaurant was quite disappointing and certainly did not engender recommending the restaurant to others. Our experience at the restaurant was in direct contrast to the previous...
