Sushi Gon — Restaurant in Sydney

Was here to do some work at Bella Vista. Thought I stopped by at this eatery for a quick bite before heading out to work. So I ordered katsudon. The dish came fast. So I was quite pleased with the service. However, the picture they have on display was nothing like the actual dish they brought out to me. I had to triple check with the picture to make sure they didn’t give me the wrong dish. What I found out was that there was hardly any katsudon at all. I had to dig through the rice to find it! Ordered because they are the only place I know of that deliver Japanese locally. Orders the salmon bento box and a party platter. The bento was not worth the price- the salmon was a very small and thin piece with a little sauce on a whole bed of sticky rice, the salad was iceberg lettuce with dressing , vegetable gyoza was ok and same with the nigri. The party platter , there was too much rice portion with the nigri and rolls compared to other places I have tried . The fish itself was good though, there was too much tuna rolls even though we only picked it once. Also it’s cooked tuna not fresh. This was without a doubt the worst sushi experience I have ever had. The amount of salmon was laughable, just tiny, unappealing slices that had a foul smell and an even worse taste. To make matters worse, the rice was nothing short of a disaster. It was massive, overcooked, and mushy.
