Ordered breakfast here about 45-50 minutes before an appointment I needed to attend thinking it would definitely be enough time to order a quick breakfast. My partner and I waited 25 minutes for two scrambled eggs on toast meals. We could not wait any longer as we needed to attend an appointment
We approached the counter and stood there for 5 minutes at the counter but were not noticed. The lady (who I assume is the owner) ignored us at the counter for quite sometime
Once we explained to her that we needed to go to an appointment and we had been waiting for 25 minutes for our food (very politely might I add) she immediately said “I’m not giving you a refund” my partner and I were a bit shocked, the lady walked off to the kitchen and she started to pack our food in takeaway containers without asking us
We explained to her that we don’t need the food to be taken away as we had an appointment to attend and we had been waiting for 25 minutes for our food and she said again “I won’t be giving you a refund” She then added that the cafe was busy, and proceeded to lift up to docket tray and show us all the orders the kitchen had received.. it was extremely unprofessional and very rude. She then said that “25 minutes to wait for a meal is the normal time to wait for food at a cafe” this was wrong as most cafes we visit have a 10-15 minutes max wait time for food.. My partner and I had tried to reasonably explain to her that we appreciate that they are busy, if they don’t do refunds then that’s okay, we asked if we could come back after our appointment and have the meals after our appointment. The owner was cutting us off mid conversation and proceeded to MOCK us! In front of her own customers, it was EXTREMELY unprofessional and very very rude. Read moreThe food was ok ,but for 2 pieces of burnt toast & avo is appealing to anyone who’s hungry and needs to get to work.. I’m not happy with the service. I asked the staff kindly if they do iced matcha lattes, they said they do.. I get my drink and there is floating bits on unprocessed matcha anyone who drinks it knows it’s very bitter and not nice to drink, it was also lumpy when drinking through the straw and the drink was just covered in floating powder! I waited for all the customer to move away and kindly asked the lady who made it quietly if she can take it back and fix or maybe swap for an orange juice, and what looks to be the owner refused to fix they’re mess up and infront of myself and everyone around got a strainer and a new cup and poured it in holding back on the bottom half of the drink and then continues to put her hand on the straw and mixes it some more and insists I try when I clearly said no it’s fine.. so by that time the ice was melted quarter of my drink went in the bin then they continued to tell me that’s what happens with “organic” matcha? I’ve been drinking matcha for years also being someone who makes it from home I’ve never had a lumpy bitter drink unless your someone who doesn’t know how to make it .. then to top things she said she would get me an orange juice and then changed her mind about 30 seconds later .. Read moreNEVER TO RETURN After ordering at the counter, coffees and one out of four good items arrived. I made inquiries about the 3 remaining items which then arrived soon after. Still waiting for the final item, I requested again, staff member approached and asked if I still wanted the item (yes I had asked for it twice now). Still waiting, approached the counter yet again to ask, finally, who I can only assume was the manager approached not to apologise for the delay or even to say they had forgotten to add the item to my initial order, but to say that I hadn’t actually purchased the item and the fact my son (who has Autism) had jumped and run around was the reason the item was not ordered. There were 3 opportunities for someone to explain the item was not paid for where I would have happy paid, but to have to repeatedly ask and then be told the reason was my son’s behaviour. Appalling.
