Update: I have since gone back to the Golden Bowl for a sit-down lunch. It should be pointed out that they have a counter facing the food court. Here they provide affordable and delicious meals to the regular office worker lunchtime crowd. We decided to have a sit-down lunch in the restaurant section which only is accessible from outside the shopping centre. This section is quieter and more relaxed. Here the decor was simple and the food and service was excellent. You can BYO from a nearby bottle shop with no corkage charge. Visa and MasterCard are accepted but there is a card fee. This Chinese restaurant is located in the Circa Shopping Centre, at Circa Boulevarde, Bella Vista. This restaurant has a wide selection of Chinese cuisine. You can purchase meals from the food court area or head around the corner and take a sit-down table meal.
I usually order a chicken laksa for $12.50.
Parking is provided by the free undercover car parking that the shopping...
Read moreTERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. I waited for TWO HOURS for our food to be delivered by the restaurant. We only live 20 minutes away and it should DEFINITELY NOT take this long to simply deliver our food. Very disappointing as my poor family just wanted a simple dinner, however we sat around starving until 8pm for it to arrive. The reasoning was apparently they need to deliver to houses in Castle Hill before heading to other suburbs, which leaves other customers like us, to wait 2 hours for dinner. I was offered a discount the next time I visit for the delay, however I will reject this offer as I will certainly never go again. The restaurant should not offer delivery services if they cannot fulfil them on time and I can clearly see from the other reviews on google that there is plentiful other occasions that this has happened. The food was not worth the wait, very overpriced for small portions. I will never order from this place again. They do not...
Read moreAmazing Cantonese Diner/restaurant reminiscent of Hong Kong style cooking!
The chef here can cook proper Cantonese Chinese food! Absolutely fantastic! It's been about 2 years since I've tasted something remotely similar!
The magic lies in the wok and what's called the breath of the wok known in Cantonese as "Wok Hey." The high heat and oil causes the wok to impart flavour to the food in the same way that charcoal cooked food has the subtle tastes of charcoal. It adds that aroma and you can definitely taste this!
Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
You have to eat here!
Highly recommend the beef fried noodles known as 'Buddha noodles' with the flat white noodles, not the yellow chow mein noodles.
Absolutely lovely staff. If possible, bring cash as cash is king in Chinese restaurants ;)
UPDATE : Food is still great. Restaurant is incredibly busy on the weekends, but great for take away...
