I have never been to a coffee shop like this.As soon as I walked in not knowing what to expect I was greeted with a friendly smile and a welcome that I never had before even in 5 star hotels. I ordered a coffee and just sat there and watched people coming in and out or sitting down having some coffee and food and watching the staff and their attention to customers I have been going there for over a year now and I live in Carlingford and travel there every day for a coffee and especially the food. I have never tasted burgers like the ones they make and they even do catering at a good price I eventually got to know the owner Kim and what a nice kind hearted lady I asked her how come your food tastes different and coffee tastes so good and she explained to me that her coffee is roasted by the same company and nobody else is allowed to use it because it’s under Coffee Embassy Bar and her food she and her staff prepare themselves down to the patties for the burgers Kim goes shopping every day to make sure her clients receive the freshest produce and she has everything to eat from meat dishes to vegetarian dishes. To be honest I don’t go anywhere else to eat now and even on weekends I order food to take home I ask Kim can she make this for me and she does but she and her staff are always busy serving people and catering For a place that you can’t see from the street because it’s under some units I would not have known about it until I seen the sign. Not only the food is excellent and everything is hand made and at a good price the staff are exceptional The staff are always happy and laughing and are so polite For a good food or coffee I will give this place 10 out of 10 Keep up the good work...
Read moreDear The Embassy Café owner/Manager,
I am one of customers who lives in Northmead in the last 20 years and have been enjoying your coffee and food since the opening.
Unfortunately, I have experienced very unpleasant customer service from your staff.
This morning, I came to your cafe to grab a weak Iced Coffee (my usual drink).
You all staff seemed busy so, I waited for a bit that I do not mind anyway.
A staff approached in a hurry manner.
"Can I please have a weak iced coffee to take away?" I said.
The staff said to me "Sorry?!" with a frowning facial expression.
I lost my appetite of having/enjoying coffee and food.
"Pardon?!" I said.
"It is ok. I do not need coffee".
"Do not frown at me" I said.
The staff started accusing me in a loud voice and defending herself that she did not understand my reaction (when she just said ""sorry?) and denied she did not frown at all.
"Take care and all the best" I said and left the café.
I understand the staff was having a busy day at work however, I still think customer service and manners should be the first still have basic manner and service skills.
I am not too sure whether I ever wanna visit this café and recommend my colleagues or mothers' group members.
Hope you guys improve customer skills.
Thanks
One of Northmead residents...
Read moreWaiting 20 minutes for 2 takeaway pork rolls is a bit ridiculous, considering there were 3 staff and 2 customers before us. The customers who ordered after us got their food first probably because they were dining in. Ambience is horrible here I don’t know why anyone would want to eat in. There’s absolutely no sun in the dining area, its location is windy and cold and there’s 1 outdoor heater flanked by tables and chairs so that only 2 people can stand by it. Board doesn’t show coffee and drink prices so you don’t know how much you’re paying until you tap your card. We were charged $6.50 for a takeaway large mocha (normal milk). 2 stars for the fresh bread and pork pieces, however our pork rolls had barely any lettuce, carrot and I think mine had half a piece of coriander and no liver spread or maggi...
