Read moreAbsolutely unprofessional service. I would like the management to take note of this review to improve their product and service. I have been buying from Panacakes Northmead branch since 2018. Never have I ever complained a single time because the food tastes good, nicely garnished, the staff is good. The review here is bit longer but I want to present the whole situation here. I am disappointed that there was no cook in the kitchen and the only wait staff seemed to be preparing my order in the morning time and obviously the food was not cooked up to the mark.
Today on 23/09/2021, I got take away order here which was one Aussie sunrise and coffee. After coming home, I opened the container and I was all shocked to see the pancakes were not cooked golden brown and with right consistency. I went ahead to give it a shot, tasted them and it absolute tasted raw like batter. Then heated them up, but obviously the taste was not good and again the dough like raw taste.
I called back the restaurant and let the wait staff know that it wasn't up to the mark and not edible, I went back there and showed them how raw it was and this is not how they served even a single time before. I took picture of that at home when I opened the parcel before heating up, showed the same picture in the shop. Then there was an old lady trying t defend and that same wait staff lady was standing besides the old lady.
I explained the whole matter and showed that picture to this old lady, she was repetitively talking in sarcastic tone and then they prepared another Aussie sunrise and handed it back. but again, there was no cook or chef present in the kitchen.
After handing back new order, the old lady is just trying to tell for their orders that is how it is cooked, it is alright, yarra yarra yarra and making me look the bad guy here, and that is not how pancakes are cooked .Really? Is that how you serve customers??
I am not the complaining, freebie seeker customer. Been buying from you for last 3 years, but I am highly shocked that even second time the wait staff cooked the order and there is no chef in the kitchen again the pancakes were not greatly cooked coz they served the new order in about 3-5 mins max to get rid of the whole scenario.
The first picture was one of the previously ordered Aussie sunrise that is how their standard was and the second picture shows how badly the pancakes were cooked this morning and I tasted it, so I'm not claiming about the appearance solely.
I hope they learn from it and start taking ownership of their mistakes rather than being sarcastic and defensive.

Read moreEdited review from 4 stars down to 1. Reasons - 1) Came 8/8/22 at around 5pm. Really aggressive tall blonde waiter. Had body language like she wanted to fight my friend because he asked for a substitute on available on menu. Marched around glaring at people. Should not be in customer service.
Update : When mentioned this startling experience to customer service was informed this is the manager....this explains the heavy rotation of staff.
Staff. 4/5: Most of the staff are quite friendly, especially the night shift staff. Lots of smiles and casual banter. A couple seem to be familiar with the regulars - so that's nice.
Food. 3-4/5: The pancakes are a hit & worth the trip. Delicious! 👍 The savoury options are hit & miss. Honestly more misses than hits. Disappointing most of the time. The pizza options are quite good however. I thought the coffee was average, but still decent. You can't fault the genrousity of the portions. Amazing Chai.
Venue: 3/5 It's very clean with plenty of seating even in rush hour. Lots of space between people make it good for these pandemic times. Clean bathrooms. Lots of parking. Kinda heartless now electronic menu means you don't get a human.
There's even a ramp, so nice to see disability ♿ friendly.
The main thing I like is the late opening hours - especially after the City Extra closed in Parramatta. It's so useful and appreciated.
Vibe 3.5/5 : The vibe is like "Hogs Breath Cafe" sort of American Diner, and most of the time the other customers are relaxed and friendly. You do see people dressed up, but unlike other places in Parramatta where there is an uncomfortable feeling of pretension - you don't get that here. Very comfortable. You could wear very casual clothes or dress up and both would be acceptable.
