Really disappointing today. Came in at 10am, not busy at all, sat down, two tables who came in minutes after us were given menus and water immediately as we sat there waiting. Maybe she missed us, ok. We waited and waited and waited and eventually she realised we had nothing and as we were trying to make eye contact with her. Ordered coffees then waiter stood outside chatting to her friends who had just been at the beach, wiping the same table, even the barista noticed because we went up to order at the counter and she said you’ll be served at your table, which we were not and had not being the entire time. Waiter was too busy clearing the odd plate outside and chatting to her mates to realise there was three tables inside (the two tables that came after us at the start) all looking at each other with the same frustration. She seemed oblivious. Left as soon as we had our coffees without ordering food. Not the type to ever complain but service today was the worst I can remember for a cafe in a long time. 20-25 minutes from entrance to coffee...
Read moreThe location is lovely, especially for a sunny Sunday brunch with good vibes. Unfortunately, the service and cleanliness were very disappointing.
There’s a big sign at the entrance saying “wait to be seated”, so I stood with my partner and our dog waiting politely. A waitress (blonde, wearing black gym shorts and a singlet) asked if I was okay. When I asked if there was a table available for two and a dog, she dismissively replied, “Sit wherever you want, I don’t care!” Not exactly the warm welcome you’d expect.
Once seated, we were brought two filthy glasses and a bottle of tap water that was even dirtier. The table next to us had the same issue, and when water was poured into their glasses, they found things floating inside and had to throw it away.
For a bill of $85 (two juices, an omelette, and an avocado smash), I expect at least courtesy and a clean environment. Sadly, Coop fell...
Read moreAbsolutely love The Coop! It’s hands down my favorite café in Bronte, and I can’t recommend it enough. Nestled in the most stunning location, it offers a cozy and welcoming vibe that makes it the perfect place to unwind. The staff are always so friendly and warm—seriously, you won’t find better customer service anywhere else.
And the food? It’s always amazing. Whether I’m in the mood for the classic avocado toast, the hearty Full Bronte Breakfast, fluffy pancakes, or any of the burgers (they’re all delicious!), I know I’m going to be satisfied. Oh, and don’t even get me started on their matcha—by far the best I’ve had in Sydney!
After living in Bronte for 5 years, The Coop has remained our go-to spot for a reason. Huge thanks to Fern and her incredible team for creating such a beautiful, community-driven space. It’s the perfect place to relax, catch up with friends, and enjoy a...
