Salina cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

Worst experience and service ever. I went today at Salina and I was craving to have a bacon and roll. I asked the lady my meal and I have been corrected because apparently for them is not correct to say bacon and egg but ”egg and bacon” instead. Long story short I received scrambled eggs with bacon and spinach in a wrap. I didn't say anything because I thought it was their way to serve ”egg and bacon” and I've started to eat it. After a while, the lady came with what it was supposed to be my meal but when she realized she made a mistake she asked me if I was happy with the wrap. I clearly said no but with an embarrassed smile, she walks away and took for granted that it was ok for me. Also, I ordered a bowl of chips and when she brought them to me, she didn't even apologize or suggested to replace my meal and when I paid they didn't offer me a discount or an apology. Usually, I never make a complaint cause I know well what does it mean work in hospitality, I understand that no one is perfect but when you make a mistake there is always the possibility to apologize or give at least a discount. I’m a cafe manager and this is what I do to my customers. Shame...

We had a tea and a smoothie at this cafe. The interior is nice and beachy in mint green and beige. The service was unfortunately quite chaotic and it took a while until we received our order (several minutes apart and only after a reminder), after we ordered at the counter as no one came to the table. The tea and smoothie were good. In general it’s more of a tourist trap. The worse thing - which is also the main reason that made me write this review - is the bathroom situation: You are send to the cafe next door as they share the restroom. It’s more than just disgusting. Never cleaned of it looks. Door not lockable - they simply put a canister behind it that you can use to close the door as the door nob is also broken, toilet more than dirty, toilet seat broken and loose, no soap and - more so - it’s the bathroom also staff uses apparently. How they wash there hands - I don’t really want to think about it.. I would not...

These guys took 30 minutes to make a takeaway bacon and egg roll. It only took 5 minutes to bring out my coffee but by the time the food arrived the coffee was cold. Pretty disappointed in my experience here. The waitresses kept shouting at people lining up to order, as the walkway to the kitchen was also right there. Maybe consider any of the other cafes next door.

Update. It's now been 45 minutes. They completely forgot my order then refused to remake the coffee.

Update. It's now been an hour. Still no food, but takeaway food is going out to other people.

Update. Finally got my food. Asked them again to re-do my coffee. The wait continues.

Got the coffee, and as much as I was hoping for a redeeming point, unfortunately it came back burnt.

Sigh. Way to ruin a...
