Having been regular customers during the COVID crisis we were pleased to see that would could finally sit down and enjoy our coffees and milkshakes. We were soon proven wrong. A surly & rude staff member came to inquire if we had ordered food - which we hadn't. Unpleasantly we were asked to leave - despite other seats being free at the time. The look on the other customers face said it all. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour. Had we known when we made our order in a cafe that you couldn't consume your coffee and drinks at the cafe we would have gone elsewhere. (Interestingly our drinks order would have been more than the yoghurt the neighbouring customer was eating & previous customers who had drinks only weren't moved on) At no stage were we informed or was there a sign stating this was this cafes unique policy. This was pure greed on behalf of the cafe - and the way the staff member handled it was disgusting. We will not return. There are plenty of other cafes in the area who need business more...

This was our first visit to this cafe, as we usually went the one next door for breakfast. However, this time, my husband was in the mood for some pasta for lunch. Unfortunately, the service we received was quite ordinary. We ordered the Bogey Benny, requesting it without ham and with a substitution of mushrooms for an additional $2, which was fine. When the Fettucine Alla Eoliana arrived, we were disappointed to find large chunks of canned tuna on top, the sauce was separated from the ricotta cheese, and there was an excessive amount of oil at the bottom of the dish. While my husband didn't want to send it back as the overall taste was already lacking, I did show the plate to the staff. They offered to make another dish, but I declined. I don’t think the overall quality of the food here is great, especially considering the pasta with the excessive oil that made me feel a bit sick even by looking at it. We are unsure if we will return or recommend this cafe to friends and family...

We came here last Saturday morning and seated ourselves as the place was quite busy. We were shortly greeted and our orders taken. After waiting for 45 mins and seeing others having their meals served I asked the waiter what was happening with ours. After returning we were told that he never handed the order to the kitchen.

The issue was that he missed handing the order over, but rather his poor attitude and no offer to have this fixed, except that the kitchen would process the order as normal... It was disappointing as we specifically drive to come to this place and eat here.

This was a very poor experience and outcome for us. I won't be back

There's plenty of other great cafes on...

I had the avo mash & field mushroom (a dollop of goats cheese, roasted tomato, rocket, sour dough) here halfway through the Bondi - Coogee walk. It was the best avo toast I’ve ever had! Each of the ingredients was amazing on its own and complemented one another perfectly when all put together! The field mushrooms were juicy, fragrant and delicious, probably the best mushrooms I’ve had; the goats cheese was just right and not too sharp as well. You could add a poached egg for 2.50 but I think the dish works perfectly fine without it. Staff is friendly too (: a bit on the pricier side but portions are large and could easily last me half a day. Coffee was robust too.
