The Char Rotisserie Bronte — Restaurant in Sydney

Absolutely delicious every time. Clean and well managed take away shop.

Probably the best chips I've ever had and not stingy on the servings. The beef Patty's are super rich and moist and their bacon and egg roll is under $10 with 2 eggs and a stack of bacon. Chicken is super juicy and a big selection of salads.

Prices are really cheap when compared to everything else on the street and they usually have a line out the door to order.

The service isn't amazing, probably because they're always slammed with customers, but they're not rude or dismissive, just to the point and efficient.

The only food shop I visit when in Bronte thanks to the fair pricing and mouth watering food.

EDIT 27/11/21 : after visiting many times the food is still delicious but the service really is bland and staff are disinterested. No smiling faces, everyone looks depressed and just trying to get their paycheck. I went to the Char for lunch,with my friend Michelle, and I was sorely disappointed. The chicken was dry and overcooked, like a piece of cardboard that had been left out in the sun. The salad was unseasoned and underdressed, like a pile of lettuce that had been tossed with a sprinkle of water. And the sides were nothing special, like a couple of sad french fries and some wilted coleslaw.

But the worst part of the meal was the service. I was served by a bald man who looked like he had just crawled out of a cave. He was unfriendly and inattentive, and he didn't seem to care about my dining experience.

I would not recommend The Char to anyone. It's overpriced, the food is subpar, and the service is terrible. If you're looking for good chicken, I would recommend going to Chargrill Charlie's instead. The chicken there is always moist and flavourful, the sides are delicious, and the service...

I’ve never done a review for anything but I have come every week to Char for the last 6 months. The food is great and is always hot and fresh. If you are reading this the food is great!

Unfortunately it’s really the small things that can ruin fantastic experiences.

Today I got the lamb shanks with 2 sides. I wanted 1 side seperate (my salad so it didn’t get warm and soggy from the Lamb Shanks) I didn’t want more than what I paid for. I just wanted it seperate. A simple ask.

I was told that I would have to refund the entire amount I paid and pay extra (around $4/8 to have it seperate. I told the girl. I didn’t want more than what I paid for I just wanted it seperate for the reason of it going soggy. Again I was told I’d have to pay extra. No ground given.
