Crust Pizza Concord — Restaurant in Sydney

Time to update my review. After a 6 month break, due to such terrible pizzas I needed to go into hibernation to recover, I'm back to give them another chance.

Yesterday I ordered my favourite Crust pizza; pulled pork with pear. I also chucked in a supreme with my order. How were they? Absolutely bloody awesome! They put the right amount of toppings on this time, and the dough was cooked to perfection.

Sometimes they don't press the dough thin enough and it is just too thick and doughy and really unenjoyable, while other times it is too thin and hard. Not this time! It was fresh and light with a nice crispy exterior and a good amount of chewiness to it.

The pulled pork pizza needs a decent sprinkling of cabbage and enough aioli to actually taste it. Basically it needs to look just as advertised on the tin. In the past the cabbage was often barely visible and sometimes it looked like it had been sitting around for a few days. And they'd frequently put barely any aioli on. The pear often also was brown and didn't look fresh at all. I always pleaded in the instructions for them to add some extra slaw and aoili, but mostly this was ignored. Once I even paid for extra just so I could get the right amount, and they still didn't put much on. This time though, the cabbage was sprinkled liberally over the pizza, so there was enough for a little with each bite, and the same goes for the aoili. Just perfect. Keep away from this place if you don't want to be in a food poisoning coma for two weeks. This is the second time my family has gotten food poisoning from Crust Concord. The first time we didn't complain to anyone because we didn't want to ruin their business. However, considering over a year has passed since the last incident and we decided to give them another shot and we all got even sicker this time, I think it's absolutely time for them to suffer the consequences. After my family finished our pizza, we felt a little queasy. The next day, we all had severe headaches, nausea, fatigue and vertigo. I could barely get out of bed. I constantly felt like I was about to vomit. I tried to eat something for breakfast but vomited shortly after. I felt like I was dying. So did my family. We thought we might have contracted Covid but after we received negative test results, we realised it must have been the pizza. The symptoms persisted with the same severity, making it impossible to go to work or do absolutely anything other than lay in bed. We could barely get up to go to the bathroom. It was horrific.
