Cynthia’s Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

I can not believe what I just encountered at this shameful excuse of an establishment. I simply enquired if they were able to prepare a pork and bacon sandwich for me. The chef immediately started yelling at me, calling me an 'aussie dog' among other joyful things and threatening to 'cave my head in' if I did not leave straight away. I have reported this incident to the police but just wanted to advise the general public to avoid this establishment at all costs. I'm not surprised to see people have had similar experiences in previous reviews...

Very nice local Cafe, family run.

Friendly and welcoming staff, good range of food, there are made to order and pre-made options. Lots of choice for burgers and sandwich options. Pre made options vary from day to day.

Also quite a few sweet treats to choose from. I noticed rice pudding, one of my faves.

Yummy chips with plenty of chicken salt!

I’ve never felt compelled to write a review like this, but my visit was genuinely disturbing. The food was mediocre at best, but that wasn’t the real issue. The chef! Yes!, the chef was aggressively confrontational and threatened to smash my face in. This wasn’t just bad service — it was hostile and unsafe. No one should feel intimidated or endangered while dining out. I’ve reported the incident to the appropriate authorities and sincerely hope others are spared this kind...
