Sydney Park is undoubtedly one of the most incredible parks I have ever been to. This park is enormous and is packed with activities, features, and facilities that cater to everyone, from kids to adults. I recently visited the park, and I was blown away by the beauty and the diversity of the space.

One of the things I appreciated about Sydney Park is that it has a lot of facilities, including picnic areas, barbecues, public toilets, shaded areas, and seating areas, which made my visit comfortable and convenient. I especially loved the fact that there were numerous barbecue areas dotted throughout the park, which made it easy for me to enjoy a good barbecue with my family.

Another feature of Sydney Park that stood out to me was the off-leash areas for dogs. My furry friend had a great time in the extensive off-leash areas, which included a paddling pool for dogs. This was a real treat for him, and I was happy to see him enjoying himself.

The park's playground is extensive and includes diverse equipment for kids of all ages and abilities. Additionally, the children's cycling track and cycling center were a great way to keep the kids active and entertained. I also appreciated the two fitness stations featuring a range of equipment for bodyweight exercise, which I found useful for my workout routine.

The skate park was one of the highlights of the park for me. It is the largest skate park in Sydney and features zones to suit every ability and style of skating, scooting, and BMX riding. It was fascinating to watch the skilled skaters perform their tricks, and I was impressed by the park's inclusivity.

The sports facilities, including the Alan Davidson Oval, are another standout feature of the park. The oval caters to summer and winter sports and includes adjacent outdoor fitness training areas. There are also public art and memorials, including the SPAIDs memorial, which adds to the park's cultural significance.

The village green with a cafe kiosk is an excellent place to relax and grab a bite to eat. It is also worth mentioning that the on-site parking is convenient and plentiful, with four car parks located throughout the park.

Finally, the stormwater harvesting system used in the park is a great example of sustainable practices. The water is reused to top up the wetlands and irrigate the 44-hectare park and supply the neighboring depot, making Sydney Park an environmentally responsible destination.

In summary, Sydney Park is a fantastic destination that is perfect for families, friends, and even solo visitors looking for a great day out. It is a well-maintained park that offers plenty of facilities and activities for everyone, including furry friends. I highly recommend it and rate...

Absolutely beautiful park. Perfect for dog, dog lovers, parents with kids. Lots of nature with rolling hills. BUT...the downside is that my family and I were supposed to be there for a barbecue. Turns out that even though on their website it states that there are "Barbecue and picnic areas dotted throughout the park", we could not find a barbecue area.

We first drove to the car park on Sydney Park Road. We walked around, saw the bike track, saw the cycle centre, saw the picnic areas and the public toilets. We even walked up the hill. No barbecue area.

We then drove to the car park on Princes Highway. We walked around, saw the playground, saw more picnic areas and public toilets. No barbecue area. We asked some people walking their dog, nothing. We went to the kiosk to ask the workers. "I'm not sure, I think it's over there points in a general direction. Actually maybe there are no barbecue areas." We found a pole with a map, information and a phone number. No barbecue areas on the map. Gave the phone number a call. Call was picked up by a very nice girl by the name of Erica. Was told that the barbecue areas should be near the public toilets but she did not know exactly where the areas were but that they should be there. I told her we had our own barbecue and were we allowed to use it but was told no. Bummer...

By now it was midday, the sun is blazing and we have an esky full of raw meat. So unfortunately we have to leave Sydney Park without truly discovering it. I suspect that Sydney Park does not have barbecue areas and why they state on their website that they do, I do not know...

TL;DR: Sydney Park has no (or maybe very hard to find) barbecue areas. The park is nice and perfect for people with dogs and kids. Just don't go there with the intention to...

🌳 I recently visited Sydney Park, and overall, it's a beautiful and well-maintained place, perfect for spending time outdoors. The park's spaciousness allows for a great experience, and it's undoubtedly pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for me as a pet owner of two bunnies.

However, my visit was marred by an unsettling incident involving an off-leash dog. Despite having my rabbits on a leash, they were almost attacked by the irresponsible dog. The owners of the dog showed a lack of consideration for other pets and their safety. This situation highlights the need for stricter enforcement of on-leash policies in the park.

I sincerely hope the park management takes this matter seriously and implements measures to ensure the safety of all pets and their owners. Designated on-leash areas should be provided, not only for rabbits and other small pets but also for cats and other animals. This way, everyone can enjoy the park without fear of such incidents.

Despite this unfortunate incident, I believe Sydney Park has great potential to be an inclusive and safe place for all pet owners. I encourage the park management to take action and address this issue promptly. With improved pet-friendly policies, Sydney Park can become an even more enjoyable destination for all visitors and their furry...
