i'd give a zero if i could. extremely poor service. Staff all seemed like they would only smile or make eye contact with you if they got paid extra. When calling a waiter for service they give us a flick of the wrist and never attend. Customer service was so bad we had to go to the counter to get our own bottles of water that we had asked for 20 mins prior. Not only did they not serve the water, but we waited so long for boiled rice. My dad had to walk to the counter and ask what was happening with the rice order and the waiter decided to give it to him there on the spot. Didn't even bother to take it to our table. Then again when calling the waiter to order something else, her response was "you have to wait I'm doing something else". An hour into the meal and we were still waiting on 4 dishes that hadn't been served. Eventually we received the remaining 3 out of 4. We didn't bother to follow up the fourth dish because we thought that would take another hour. But of course they tried to charge us for it. The waiter didn't even bother to remove the empty plates on the table to make space for new dishes, instead they just put the plates of new dishes on top of the dirty ones. That's something i have never seen in a restaurant before and never thought i would. I would some what understand if the place was really busy, but it was probably at 60% capacity with what i thought was adequate staffing numbers. I think the owner/manager of this restaurant needs to train their staff on how to provide...
Read moreI ordered lunch today , a long time customer -not to return . The food is great but the senior staff (older lady) needs a lesson in good customer service. When I ordered over the phone I was informed by a courteous young lady that I could get a free 1.25 litre coke and spring rolls or prawn chips as the order was over $50. I said the spring rolls and drink would be fine .
Upon arriving to collect my order I was told that as I was paying by debit card (not Visa) there would be a surcharge. I was aware of this , but was told because I am paying by card , I am not entitled to the 'freebies'. No where on the shop menu pamphlet, did it state, ' for payment by card no complimentary soft drink , prawn chips or spring rolls".
What made me angry , was that the older lady said I would have been told this over the phone when I made my order, but I was not , and what's the difference anyway if I pay by card or cash , I still paid . The store did not wear the surcharge , I did and then on top of this, they denied the complimentary items. This is very non-customer friendly and also disgraceful, that the staff could not accept they need to state things clearly on their pamphlet. To top off my experience , this lady said she did not understand and was very condescending as to why I could be upset . It's not about the drink , it's about the customer service. Maybe another staff member should be at the front desk talking to customers and...
Read moreAll day yum cha, seafood, standard menu and banquets. Live music some nights (we were there on a Saturday, not sure what other nights music plays) a little loud if you want to have a conversation, but the guy had a lovely voice and good easy listening music played. Plenty of large tables for groups. Food was really good, lots of choice on the menu. Clearly popular, as there were plenty of people in the restaurant after about 6.30, would recommend a booking. Ordered standard yum cha fare: dim sims, spring rolls, calamari, mango pancakes, also had special fried rice, whitebait and satay chicken. Food was all great tasting and fresh, plenty of meat and prawns in the special fried rice and huge quantity of food on shared dishes. Quantities of yum cha dishes as per pictures on the menu, so easy to work out how much to order. Plenty of food for our group with left overs, which they provided containers for us to take. Small but reasonable alcohol selection. Staff were helpful and available, prices were reasonable. Restaurant is located upstairs in a small shopping complex, easy to access via stairs or a lift. Parking at front and back of shops, so...
