Dose Espresso — Restaurant in Sydney

I’ve had not so great experiences with the staff that takes the order. Given it’s a busy cafe but the attitude is appalling. I asked for what milkshakes they have as the milkshake aren't on the menus anywhere, other than where the cashier takes your order. and I was told the list very quickly what’s available, And then I was asked if I wanted to stay aside to read the menu which was only visible if I went close to the counter and that was possible only after waiting in line, and then loosing my spot in the line, and eventually annoying those who I get in between of.

This is not the first time I was poorly treated or rushed when ordering after waiting a good 5-8 mins in line.

Customer Service Suggestion - Have your menus available for those standing in line. Try and be kind to people who are overwhelmed with small overcrowded places and might not hear u clearly with all the noise in your small crammed venue.

The serving staff are amazing, very kind and polite. I would not recommend this place. Maybe ok for regulars. Remember you are in the service industry.

Well done at an arrogant reply Dose. You have clearly not understood the review. And no there weren't any drinks menus at the front door as you mentioned in your reply. Maybe they were with other customers. It's not your serving staff but the one that takes the order who has no patience. Your reply clearly shows the arrogance...

Cafe Dose Espresso is one of those rare finds where everything just feels right the moment you step in. Unfortunately my, otherwise pleasant, experience at this cafe was tainted. I was at the cafe with a group of friends. I ordered the green bowl worth $18 (that ordinarily comes with a poached egg). I requested to substitute the egg for haloumi as I cannot eat egg. The menu reads that a side of egg is worth $2 and a side of haloumi is worth $5. When paying for my meal I asked the team member how much I would need to pay for the meal. He said $23. When asked if a compromise could be made and I only be charged an additional $3 for the haloumi considering I did not cost the cafe the egg, the team member told me that is not something he could do, without any justification of why it was not possible and with an unempathetic attitude.
