This large park is tucked away in the suburban side streets of Chatswood. It is also an approximate and 10 minute walk from the CBD, main shopping area and station. It is close proximity to a child care facility. It has a naturally turfed multi-purpose playing field (most common is cricket in summer and soccer in winter). There's also a decent children’s playground off on side of the oval area. The playing field area is also an off-leash dog park in the afternoons and evenings and outside of sports timings. The playground is spacious and is also fenced with child gate access. The extensive play equipment is suitable for little ones and for the more adventurous. Play equipment includes: swings, slides, climbing frame, spinner, scooter/trike tracks, and sandpit. There are picnic tables and seats in the playground area. One minor is that the public toilets are located across the other side of the 1 playing field (in the change room/clubhouse building). This is slightly problematic if you have multiple children with you. Access to the playground, playing field, and public toilets is easy for Prams, those with mobility aids and wheelchairs. Most of the area is flat, and where it is not, there is ramp access. Street parking is easy on Stanley Street and surrounding streets.

It's a pretty good park for kicking the ball around and there is a small park near the main entrance with swings and play area.

Good local park. Has fenced children's play area. Is dog friendly, although partially unfenced.

Whadup council, everyone should have the right to experience the train ride at bales park without the threat of falling through the dilapidated ill maintained station platform at the bales park children’s terminal. Please fix the decking so the children of Gamaragal can enjoy a train party and get jacked on Ribena and fairy bread with maximum stoke and minimal fear of life and limb. This way I can sit in peace and enjoy my slab while the little ones run...

Great small little local park for all ages, small safe slides and swinga. Our little one loved the novelty wooden trains. Small circular track for small bikes and scooters - great for practising. A few seats and tables for small gatherings with a BBQ too. Can get a bit crowded if there is a small gathering, but overall comfortable for the little ones. A much larger field outside with a simple bike track and lots of space for play...
