Really lovely restaurant. Hidden beneath the cliff and trees 🌲 is this beautiful gem. It’s a little bit of a walk down a flight of stairs but down here, next to the peaceful river full of parked boats 🛥️ is a beautiful area to have lunch, It has a wedding 💒 function area but also a separate outdoor restaurant overlooking the running river. There is a variety of dishes with a lunch and brunch menu (we had the lunch menu) and also a bakery 🥯 , all French inspired 🇫🇷. The male waiters seemed stern at the beginning with the female waiters seemingly fun and enthusiastic 🤩. The food is alright though. The steak 🥩 was by far the best with the sauce and crispy chips. The kids fish and chips 🐟was alright but a little overpriced. The beef carpaccio was good but not amazing. The pasta 🍝 was by far not up to standard, the white sauce was literally flavorless and had more of the consistency of water. The fruit 🍎 smoothies were good and fresh and they literally make it on sight. By the looks of people around us with their ordered food, they looked quite happy 😃 so that is a plus. After the meal, we had a walk around the docked boats which was relieving. On the way up you can ask the staff to ride this mine cart like thingy to get to the top of the cliff which is much more easier. This is when the male staff seemed more friendly and willing to help. 👍 Overall, a well experience and would be excited to try other dishes and their bakery. Solid 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Father’s Day embarrassment and extraordinary rip-off. I booked early on and was not aware that a special Father’s Day menu at $80 head for 2 courses was introduced after my booking. There were only a choice of 3 options for entree and main. Anyway we went with the flow thinking that the food would match the price. The kids meal $22.50 for the kids chicken schnitzel and chips was Steggles out of the packet! When we asked the waiter what was this grey looking “meat” (it did not look like chicken, more like grey processed mince from a sausage roll), he was honest and said it was a bad piece from the Steggles frozen box! $22.50 for that? There was no apology and no offer to serve her pasta instead. The rest of the meals were a 5/10 or 6/10 at best. But when you are paying $80 for 2 pieces of rockmelon wrapped in one piece of prosciutto and a steak (which remarkably was not bad)- the score should be lower, as they were hardly worth that extortion. So apart from our daughter not being served a proper meal on Father’s Day, the lack of the restaurant trying to correct or improve our experience- they simply did not care to remedy (even the offer of free coffee would have been a nice low cost gesture?) will make us never go back but rather tell all to avoid. What a shame! It’s a bit of a hike down and up the stairs, the only plus is the setting and the view. I rarely post bad reviews, especially in current times when finding staff is tough- however for this cafe to have the balls to impose a very substandard and overpriced Father’s Day 2 course meal, they really should just stick to serving coffee. You only have a certain amount of cafe/restaurant meals in your lifetime, and we walked away feeling very disappointed and ripped-off. This is not how you want to celebrate Father’s Day. This is just greed and perhaps desperation. If this continues, the place will barely survive. Sadly, even some of the waiting staff seemed to know that their offering was poor quality and value but were not in a position to say or do much! I hope this review will be read by the Owner and uses the feedback constructively before it’s too late.

Located at the Roseville chase marina, this cafe seems to be catered for high end market. The place is relaxing with a nice deck and friendly services. However (in my opinion) there’s room for improvements. I walked to the cashier to ask for a table already reserved, the cashier was busy and kind of ignored me (without saying anything about wait a moment or what not), then second waitress greeted me but was busy doing other things so she asked the 3rd waitress to serve me who then forgot about me then I had to repeat myself what I was there for. Don’t get me wrong it’s a It’s a great relaxing spot hidden away from busy life. Hence we picked there to have a group lunch. Customers seem to be well dressed for this place too (we were casual/sporty). However we don’t feel like we were treated the way how others are treated. The food are nicely presented but lack flavours. The Beer battered fries and beef rib were great but took almost an hour wait before we get our food. Bit overpriced in my option. The coffee there is average but it’s not quite a casual cafe so they were pushing for alcohol or bottled drinks. I was bit sleepy hence ordered coffee. The kids dessert (only vanilla ice cream) was also blend and couldn’t choose anything else except buying magnums at their cashier counter. Overall good experience and being away from busy living (yet so close) but I feel it’s a bit over price for lunch for the time and experience we had.

My friend booked the table for our long waited "brunch" reunion after more than a year. It is a hidden gem! The view is absolutely gorgeous! Even on a cloudy winter day. The friendly staff turned on the heater, prepared blankets, and closed the clear blinds for us to block the wind. The coffee is pretty good. We had crepe from the brunch menu and a few entrees to share from the lunch menu. And couple cakes from the counter. The beef carpaccio is a bit too thin and dry, so the edge of the beef slices stick onto the plate and need to be scrapped off. Personally, I would prefer the tuna tartar has less avo, but add in a herb. It should improve the texture and highlight the tuna & mango. Smashed avo & smoked salmon can probably try to use a different type of bread or pastry to make it a bit more special for your venue. Love the cakes! They are all very tasty. Keep using the same supplier for your desserts, pleeeeease. Overall experience is pretty good. If the menu can be more creative, has more character, and extends to more options, it will be a great improvement. Will visit again soon and hope the next visit can have an even better experience.

A beautiful and hidden restaurant located in Roseville. The restaurant offers stunning views of the marina and a warm, inviting atmosphere. I was greeted by the tranquil setting of the marina. The stunning views can be enjoyed from the travelator that takes you right down to the restaurant's entrance. The decor is decent, and the food was not too bad either. We had the best seat of the house right by the jetty. The view definitely helped downing some drinks. We ordered the beef carpaccio and the seafood pasta. Although the flavors were not as bold and imaginative as I had hoped, the beef carpaccio was enjoyable with a beautiful presentation but the pasta was bland and unremarkable. In terms of service, it was excellent. The wait staff were attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was pleasant. The restaurant has a great wine list. I’m sure the staff will be able to make excellent recommendations. Echo on the Marina is a great option if you're looking for a unique dining experience with stunning views. The food is decent, and the service is excellent. Give it a go if you're in the area.

I wish I could give more stars as the staff was absolutely lovely and the place is obviously in a great spot and very charming. I didn't write a review the first time around (about a year ago) but I have to say, the second time didn't blow my mind either. My only bad critic is the food which is what we came for. And sadly we were disappointed. I have to say, the menu is just not exactly exciting it doesn't give you much choice. It's either bacon or salmon and if you are vegetarian well you'll end up with smashed avo which is not enough protein. The whole menu is based on fatty meat or fatty sauce just lacking a balance of nutrients. But the main reason I have given 3 stars is because one of us had a cold breakfast, and I personally had stale bread. Or at least the center of one of my toasts was still frozen or stale. My point is the choice of meals is either too simple or just lacking elaboration. So easy these days to come up with a vegetarian option. And wayyy less fat...
