ELEMENT 6 West Ryde — Restaurant in Sydney

This is the second visit to the store. I’m not sure if the Chef has changed or not. We have ordered the exactly same things as our first visit. The French toast and field mushroom plus two coffee. The food is horrible compare to last time (around two weeks back).

My bf’s French toast is really really tiny. It is less than half size compare to our first visit. I aware of that the waiter does mentioned that they going to use a burger bum as they run out of normal bread. However I did not expect that I paid for $15 just for one slice of burger bum that cut into 4 tiny pieces. It is a rip off. The bum is clearly did not prepare with care and love. It did not taste like French toast. The side or sauces that go with the “French toast” is downgraded as well. We had a piece of the apple last time, today we only get some apple paste.

For my plate, I don’t have too much complain in taste apart from the size of mushroom. I have given 2 huge mushroom last time which I do prefer the taste from big mushroom than small one.

The ice coffee I had cause my stomach pain as well. It might be the bad milk. I was fine when I had coffee but hot last time.

So yeah. I have complained to the waiter about the size of the French toast which they said they can’t do anything. I would give 5/5 for my first visit but -10/5 for this visit. And I will...

I came to this Cafe recently around 2pm about 1 hour before they close at 3pm with my wife and our newborn baby in a pram looking forward to a meal there. As soon as I arrived I was treated rudely by staff because I asked if it would be okay to use their toilet before I ordered "they said it's only for customers" to which I replied "I am a customer"

I quickly went to the toilet and when I walked out one of the staff was standing in the doorway looking at me suspiciously like as if I was a criminal for using their toilet before I ordered.

I walked to the counter and grabbed a menu to take to my wife and he looked at me like as if I was going to steal the menus. I stepped out to show my wife the menu and when I walked back in to order he advised the kitchen was closed and I could only order there pastries or drinks. At was almost an hour before 3pm. What cafe closes their kitchen an hour before closing time. Anyway I sick of how rude they were to me and my family so I left. I have enjoyed meals there in the past but I will never go again. Plenty of other great cafes in the Ryde area. This Cafe is obviously not family friendly and I had some kind of prejudice towards me maybe based on my beard or long hair. I really don't know but I didn't like the way staff were looking at me like...

We visited this cafe on the weekend for breakfast and were extremely disappointed. I was with two other diners, one doesn't like anything with egg and the other can't eat bacon due to religious reasons. The menu is quite limited if you don't like egg or bacon, and unfortunately the kitchen staff were unwilling to accommodate our requests for small adjustments to our orders. The first asked for a bacon and egg roll but without egg and they were not prepared to do this for him (mind you we have eaten here before and it has never been a problem). The other asked for a big breakfast without bacon and they said they could put the bacon on the side but could not leave it off altogether. What the? How hard is it to not cook bacon as part of this meal? The staff were quite rude about it so we ended up leaving without any breakfast. We have never had any issues with these requests at any other Cafe before ever! I understand it is a little bit fussy, but we only asked for things to be left off, not changed or any additions. I cannot understand how this was so hard. Anyway, we used to get takeaway coffee here quite often (coffee is ok, not amazing) and now we will not be going back and I cannot recommend this place for anyone who has dietary requirements due to how unaccommodating...
