This is my second review of this hotel after having been overseas for a number of months. I had an unplanned extended stay here and it felt like home throughout this time. After booking into my room I had a sit down meal at the Palms Resturant attached the hotel. After an eleven months hiatus overseas it was a pleasent surprise to see the same dish I ordered nearly a year ago still on the menu. And in a rare contrast to the rising cost of living in Sydney, I discovered it was the same price! I cannot recommend enough the Thai beef salad they offer on their very broad ranging menu. Succulent generous strips of tender Australian beef, sprinkled with sesame seeds and drizzling with just the right amount of extra virgin olive oil . This all sits on a foundation of the most succulent salad imaginable comprising of rocket, cucumber, thinly sliced red onion, tomatoe, basil and slices of orange. Prepared with loving care by head chef, Steven. And all served to you by the very popular and delightful waitress , Lisa. Her ability to genuinely communicate with all guests is outstanding. Kyoka, with a radiant smile will prepare and assist with breakfast . This hotel has a charm that is clearly preserved by all its staff...from house keeping to hotel manager. Tim is an absolute gentleman and professional. Bikesh is equally so who also assisted greatly in helping me locate an extremely precious gold ring I had lost. . So again , I thank you all for adhering to those little, often unspoken things that make staying at such a hotel so very pleasent and special. It has a soul that's often missing in larger establishments.

I've stayed at Metro many times, you could say I'm a regular. It has saved my life when I had no choice in having a really firm mattress at home that hurt my back every night, to the point where I would book metro every 2-3 weeks just to give my back a break. It's only a 10 minute walk from my house and even better if I'm working the next day as it's practically across the road from my work place, and 9/10 times the price is around $89, nice and cheap for what you receive. The night shift worker is always so helpful, knows me by name, asks how I am and seems generally happy to see me each time I am there. Rooms are always immaculate and clean, balconies for smoking is very handy for smokers like me and the size of the rooms are great. In these photos is the room I stayed in last time, a room I'd never had before but bigger than others with an extra window and a king bed! They also have a drop box for the swipe card if you're leaving before they arrive in the morning, it is conveniently located at the back entrance where you exit to get to the carpark/driveway. I can't fault this place but if I had to, please Metro Inn think about adding MICROWAVES to the rooms, people would save their money if there was one in the room rather than having to get uber eats or food from the cafe across the road. Add a microwave then it will actually be PERFECT 😁

I recently stayed at Ryde Inn , and i couldn’t be more please with the experience. From the moment i arrived , the staff was warm and welcoming . The check in process was smooth and efficient . The room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped with all the necessary amenities. Housekeeping did a fantastic job throughout my stay. One of the highlight was buffet breakfast which was delicious and have huge parking lot. It truly exceeded my expectations. Overall , i had a wonderful experience and would definitely return . I highly recommend Ryde Inn to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding services

I ask now the response to put up a photo of the frozen barramundi box.. it is from Thailand. No excuse on the milk caused problems as for the turpentine in the air I needed to use puffers to breathe. So apologies not good enough. You had a chance while at the premises to fix issues apologies but did nothing so now is not good. First impression, neat and clean. Greeted on arrival. Quick check in as i used the bookings.com app. Arrival was 7.30pm. Quick check of the room to make it to the restaurant for some food. Restaurant was clean. Menu had a good selection. My husband picked chicken snitzel (safe choice) I was tossing up between the lamb cutlets or the fish and chips. So I asked what the fish was.. Barramundi. Awesome so fish and chips wins. Snitzel arrived over cooked..hmm fish arrived looks nice. First cit through a strong fish odor arose up. Horrible. I asked rhe staff again what fish it was , again told Barramundi. I said Barramundi doesn't have this string fishy smell. Next thing I have a 5kg frozen box of Barramundi in my face.. well yes Barramundi but from Thailand. Disappointed could not eat it. So nexr rask I needed skim milk to make a cup of tea.. nope staff said they can't give me any or let me buy some. Wow really. So annoyed now. But exhausted so back to the room. On the way the smell of turpentine fills the air. Apparently they are renovating a room, not good I have a lung disease. The bed the sheets on the bed were laying on the floor due to being king size on a double. Can live with that. The bed had a sag in the middle. Not the best sleep. You can hear the people in the next room talking.. tv toilet flushing. More exhausted now than when I started. Shower time the towels were so thin thread bear can't dry off with them. Floor in the bathroom is slippery when wet very dangerous. Ok now breakfast. $22 per person. I'm hungry and thirsty. First toast.. well the bread is wet and mushy. Had been taken out the freezer. Still no milk so no tea or coffee. Asked for water . Told I can buy mineral or soda. Ok now the hot breakfast. The warmer is only set at 40, so nothing is hot or warm. Spaghetti was poured straight out the tins in.. still not mixed. Scrambled eggs cold, short cut bacon not cooked fat still white. Little snags think pork not risking that. So not happy and now missing my cuppa big time. I parked in a disabled park with my permit to have someone park to close to my doors so they dont open. Found out it was the gentleman on the desk... grrr. So pleased...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! You pay for what you get. Bathroom light was broken on second and last night of stay. Advised hotel staff of issue and their solution to the problem was a desk lamp to be placed on the bathroom floor. That's right!!! Desk lamp on the bathroom floor. A place with high foot movement and large amounts of water, a desk lamp or any forms of electrical item isn't the safest option. Requested to speak to the manager the following morning (checkout day). Manager didn't even bother to turn up and talk to their guest. No point arguing with receptionist as they were powerless. Hotel offered a free breakfast, but still didn't absolve them from the situation and high liability they had if we were injured/electrocuted from this inadequate lighting solution. I advise everyone to avoid this place at all cost. Would have loved a full refund of my final night stay, but was denied. Bad customer service from staff and no sense of remorse from hotel.

Other issues with the place. House keeping didn't even clean our rooms (just lazy) and just placed a bag of towels outside the room. Toilet had a strong scent of drain smell. Air conditioning was not even modern. It was old and noisy and only 2 speed settings. Building is placed next to a major road and could hear all day and night road traffic, sirens and drag racing cars. Even the day of check in, the room booked wasn't even the room requested/paid for. Was provided with a family room which included a double bed and 2 singles. Only booked a Queen bed with sofa. Had to request a change of room immediately after walking in. Booking the room advised of a QUEEN bed. But only a double was provided. False advertisement. Security is another issue with this place. A tiny sliding lock was provided from the balcony door into the room. Anyone could jump the balcony and break into your room. Needed to place a chair behind the door to stop intruders from breaking in. Do not stay at this place. You have...
