This store seems to discriminate against Asians. The Thai faced woman in charge of ordering received me. When I first came here, I didn't know what kind of toast I had. After ordering a set meal, I asked if there were any options for avocado. She threw me the menu and served the next white man to order and pay. I'm still standing there and haven't completed the order yet! Very rude. At that time, the male waiter and manager were also there and did not stop him. I sat eating in the store for almost an hour, and every time I heard the waiter's impatient tone, I would lift my hair and see an Asian face! If that's the case, why don't we just open a 'White Cafe Only'! The key is that all the salespeople are Asian and I really don't understand! And every time you meet a white person, it turns into a petite voice. So why don't you only do business as a regular customer and say 'keep strangers away'? And the price is very expensive, only a piece of toast smeared with avocado costs $9 , and I have never had such an...
Read moreMy family and I arrived for one night at a nearby hotel preparing to catch an international flight the following morning. We had been on several flights that day and were quite famished. We were unfamiliar with the area but saw this cute coffee shop tucked behind the hotel we were staying at. We ordered an array of different sandwiches, banana bread, and drinks. It was some of the best food I have had while visiting Australia. And, we had been traveling for a month. Everything was so delicious, hearty, and fresh. The owner, Michael, was kind enough to provide us with a complimentary bowl of their vegetarian minestrone and it was out of this world good! It was chock full of a variety of fresh vegetables and so flavorful. We also had some coffees which were a wonderful end to a fabulous meal! Thank you to Michael and Puri for an exceptional meal our last night in Australia. Hope to come by again in...
Read moreSince the office moved to Mascot I tried a lot of coffee places but this one is by far the best. Tucked away behind the Adina Hotel it's a quick detour from the main road. Staff are super friendly and always happy to see their customers. The coffee is great. It's $ 6 for a large strong flat white which is a bit higher than the other cafes around but tastes better. They also have pastries, bagels and sandwiches. I tried them all and they are all delicious. Seating is available outside which is pleasant for a lunch break. If you are in the area, that's...
