The service and quality of this cafe has deteriorated. I work in Mascot and have been frequenting The Renegades for the past 3 years. In the past 3 weeks I've had the following experiences:
Ordered vegemite on toast and by the time I got back to the office and opened the bag, found that I had plain raisin bread.
Ordered a pineapple juice and bacon and egg roll. Waited 15 minutes for my food and was given apple juice. Had to wait another 5 minutes for my pineapple juice.
Today I ordered a bacon and egg roll, waited 15 minutes, watched as other customers walked in and out with their orders, so I asked for my money back and walked out because I couldn't wait any longer. Not to mention I was overcharged in the first place.
The quality of the food has also gone down hill. Do you have a new owner? I know the cook has changed since last year, which may account for the poor quality. I'm all for giving places a chance, but I don't think I'll be back...

And all the pastries is at room temperature not in cool refrigerator the all day…
And about the managing: I remembered it was the Monday after Taylor’s concert and only I was working with the owner. It was so busy lots of Taylor’s fans come to the cafe. I was exhausted that day but the owner didn’t ask one more stuff to work.
And the most Hilarious thing is: the owner thinks me ‘not a team worker’ hahahaha You wants me to do 2 person’s jobs and you just pay me $27 an hour even under the legal causal rate and you put the payslip money fake at 30+ in order to get rid of your...
Read moreLook I hate writing bad reviews , but this place was bad, the coffee was ok, the food should not have been served , we asked for scrambled eggs and toast on the menu ,tiny bit of egg and huge pieces of toast , 😞 we also asked for my wife 2 hash browns and 2 fresh bread , the bread was cold and stale, the hashbrowns were ok , I said to the owner he needs to do some research and go look at other cafes in the area how they treat there clients and especially how food comes out . The owner says it has to be in cool room the bread , but not if it’s fresh on the day.
