Gia Hoi is an absolute gem in Campsie! My partner and I usually get takeaway, but we decided to dine in this time, and it did not disappoint. The garlic pork chop with rice was perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor, and the spring rolls were crispy and delicious. The portions were generous, and the value for money is outstanding—$61 for one entrée, two mains, and a drink for two people, and we left feeling completely full. The service was great, and the atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommend this spot—can’t wait to visit again!

I recently dined at a Vietnamese restaurant in Campsie and was thoroughly impressed! The extensive menu offered a wide range of options, and the clean and spacious dining hall created a comfortable atmosphere. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. The food was delicious. We ordered the pork chop dry noodle, as well as the Hue soup noodle. Overall, I was satisfied with my dining experience and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and flavorful Vietnamese cuisine.

Herbal soup duck is a tad sweet. The herbal side of things could be a little more intense. I think adding crispy pork lard will make the entire dish a notch up. The seafood dry noodle is okay. It is slightly let down by the egg noodle, which is not springy. The same with the egg noodle for the duck dish. Overall ok, but with the plethora of dining outlets along the street, it is a competitive place to continue to draw in the crowd. As a passerby from Melbourne, it is not a place that will compel me to return.

I do not recommend this restaurant. The service was very poor.

When we placed our order, an older lady came to take it. She said she could not see properly because she didn’t have her glasses. We told her clearly what we wanted, including changing one meal from garlic rice to steamed rice.

When the food arrived, my son’s meal was wrong — instead of crispy chicken with steamed rice, they served it with fried rice. When we pointed this out, the lady insisted we had ordered it that way. She blamed us for the mistake without apologising, even though we were very clear about what we ordered.

We know what we wanted to eat, and we should not be served the wrong food and then blamed for it. At the end, I told her we were very disappointed with the service. I have never been to a restaurant that blames customers for their mistake.

We will not be coming back. The wrong order was taken away and ended...

The rudest middle age Vietnamese man (owner) I have ever met in my 22 years life in Australia. We went there, ordered our food, asked for an extra bowl and chopped chilli to the young boy serving us with long face. The food came but not the bowl and the chopped chilli. I asked for the bowl and the chopped chilli we asked before, and the middled age man looked at me angrily and said "anything else???". We were shocked and when he came back with our request, I told him that we havd asked for the chopped chilli and the bowl in the very beginning of our order. He was not happy and said "you didnt ask from me" with the disgusted look. We were aghast at the way he taked and served us. I was very surprised that they got 4.2 star rating. I have been to all Gia Hoi restaurants...this is the WORST!!! Never come back again....no...

Starting with the positives, the food itself is actually quite nice and the quantity they sell it at is pleasing. However the service there is abysmal. First they handed me a cup with a random piece of green vegetable attached so I handed it back to the waiter. He inspected it as if there was no issue with it until I told him about the green attachment. Although he was annoyed, he did replace my cup (hope he didn't just flick the green off). The same staff member took our order and honestly felt like his family left him and that he is under some gambling debt and working it off slowly there. Just placed the food on the edge of the table and walks off, not checking who it belongs to. Someone please go in and check on him in case, he...
