A great Kebab place, with many great facts and 1 only down side, hence my rating. PROS: first ever had a kebab with fries in the the kebab itself in Australia, which is how it should be and how it is overseas. Fresh food, great fries, meat, excellent bread (wrap) and generous portions. CONS: food is too greasy, way too much, and really obvious with pita bread. When I say too much, it's to the point that drops of grease and oil, come off almost every bite you make, with fingers as greasy as dropping them into a bowl of oil.
Hope this review is welcome and they improve upon it as that's all they need to have the best kebab house in the country 👍
OK, here is my answer to the owner as I do not know how to reply to his reply: Hello Owner, if you know who I was and what I ordered, you would know that I also ordered a Pide, so I did not make a false comment. Moreover, I have my 2 children who were also eating this order, so once again, no false comment here. This was not an accusation and really hoped it would be taken in a constructive manner, but it seems like you do not accept criticism and refuse to build on it as shown in your reply to my review and others, who write critical comments. Improvement starts with acceptance.
If I have time, I will stop with my children, so you can here it from their mouth too (not to mentions a similar review from 3 weeks...
Read moreHands down the BEST yeeros shop in the Shire! GK’s Yeeros in Engadine is my go-to for fresh, flavour-packed halal meals that never disappoint. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu – the yeeros wraps are always loaded and juicy , the burgers are legit, and their mix plates are massive and full of flavour. The chips are crispy, the falafels are golden perfection, and their vine leaves/dolmades, cabbage rolls, pides and gozlemes are so authentic and tasty.
I’ve been coming here for ages and never once had a bad feed. Staff are always welcoming, portions are generous, and everything is made fresh to order. Unlike others, they get the difference between a kebab shop and a proper yeeros joint – and they nail it.
If you want real, quality halal food in the Shire, GK’s is unmatched. This place is the real deal, don’t let anyone tell...
Read moreVisited this place for the first time today with my husband and kids. We were sitting outside enjoying our delicious lunch when my son took a turn and got sick at the table. Needless to say it’s any parent’s worst nightmare. Aside from worrying about my child I was mortified that this was happening in public and at a cafe no less. That’s when a member of staff, I presume was the owner came out to help and was so kind and compassionate. He reassured us not to worry or stress but that these things happen and instantly I felt less frazzled. Thank you so much for handling the situation with humanity and compassion, it was really nice as a parent to experience. Food was delicious and we will be back- hopefully without any more incidents...
