I’m not one to share reviews, but I could not stand silent at the horrible treatment I received this morning. Coffee orders took more the 20-30mins as the barista on the counter was chatting to other customers. When I asked whether a coffee order was mine, as it was similar to my order, I was met with almost disdain, as the barista barked back ‘that’s not yours’. Picking up my order when it was finally ready I was met with stares. If you have a problem with a customer say it. Furthermore, while other customers were given coffee stoppers, such was not granted to me, is it a matter of skin colour? I’m normally not one to put on reviews but this one I had to. Today I got some quick to go brekkie at Gloria jeans cafe at Stanhope and I was super disappointed. I got a mango coconut bread and it was horribly dry, and burnt. I waited for my coffe almost 10 minutes because there was only one staff, taking orders and making coffees, this was early morning it was a bit busy. Obviously she wasn’t keeping up very well. Coffee pretty nice however service from the young bloke on today was poor, no pleasant greeting upon placing our order ie: “Hi, how are you?” or “Hi, can I help you?” Upon handing over our order there was no “Thank you” or “have a nice day” instead it was an abrupt, “Here’s your order.” The young bloke seemed to be more interested in the young girl he was working with and getting back to his conversation with her rather than providing a positive customer...
