Gong Cha | Ingleburn — Restaurant in Sydney

Until recently this would have been a 5 star review. This store has been out of stock of almost everything for almost 4 weeks, we wonder if they are going out of business. Your main male staff member is rude, always on his phone talking even when taking orders, he does not greet customers, just stands there until customer speaks to him, doesn't speak at all unless he has to, he also takes an extremely long time to prepare orders (even when not busy). This staff member also regularly turns away customers and tells them to come back in 20mins so that he can sit down and have a break at the back of the store, this happened to me (and 3 other customers) on Friday and the store had been open less than 2 hours! I must say your female staff members are friendly and far more efficient. During this lack of stock your female staff member will at least make suggestions on other drink options. Teas tasted worse than any other gong cha I’ve tried and that’s already saying a lot but that wasn’t why I was displeased. At first I thought the customer service was great but turned out to be fake. The lady before was offered a bag for two teas and told “you’d be needing it” DIDNT see her being charged for it. I asked for a bag for 3 teas and they said it was an extra 10c which is fine, I offered to pay and they said it was too late and apologised for not offering when I was paying. So I tried to carry the 3 teas and obviously dropped one. I apologised profusely and waited to buy another one and even called out to them, there were 3 people inside and no one took my order for another 5 mins. Service is great most of the time - especially when the manager is there too, ahaha.

Drinks are consistent and amazing most of the time. We've been there 10-15 times now and it was only one time when we ordered a Red Bean Smoothie that it took 10-15mins to make. The girl who served us that time was possibly new too - not knowing what a red bean smoothie was, needing a colleague to help her out. Red Bean smoothie was also not blended very well - had chunks of ice throughout the drink.

Went to another Gong cha on a different day and it was blended so much better, smoother and no ice chunks.
