I recently had the pleasure of dining at Guzman y Gomez in Werrington, and I must say, it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This Mexican fast food gem has managed to capture the essence of authentic Mexican flavors while providing an outstanding dining experience.
The food at Guzman y Gomez is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Each bite was a burst of vibrant and rich flavors that transported my taste buds straight to Mexico. The menu boasts a wide variety of options, from classic burritos and tacos to more adventurous choices, all made with fresh ingredients that you can truly taste in every mouthful. Whether you're a fan of mild or blazing heat, there's something for everyone on their menu, and the attention to detail in crafting each dish is truly impressive.

Not only were they attentive and efficient, but their genuine warmth and enthusiasm created a welcoming atmosphere that made my dining experience even more enjoyable. Their willingness to guide me through the menu and offer suggestions showcased their dedication to ensuring that every customer finds something they'll love.
Now, let's address the elephant in the room – the prices. While Guzman y Gomez's prices may be a tad higher than your average fast food joint, I can confidently say that the flavors and quality justify every penny spent. The care and effort put into sourcing top-notch ingredients and crafting exceptional dishes are evident, making it well worth the slightly higher cost. The portions are generous, ensuring that you're not only satisfied but also getting real value for your money.
In conclusion, Guzman y Gomez in Werrington has won me over as a devoted fan. The food's tantalizing taste, the staff's outstanding service, and the overall dining experience make it a true standout in the world of fast-casual dining. Read moreVery disappointed at the service tonight. This is my local gyg and have no issues with them since now. Me and many customers waited over 40 minutes for our order as a result of workers who were mucking around and joking.
Around 10pm 13.09.24 my friends and I went in to make some orders. I ordered through the app. At 10:20 I still haven’t gotten my order so I asked one of the ladies who was putting together the orders about my order. She assured me it was coming soon. At 10:35 I still haven’t gotten my order and I asked the gentleman who I assume was the manager. He went on to explain that the order never came through as they ran out of guacamole. I don’t understand how a tech issue can be linked to an ingredient running out, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. He took care of me well from there and sorted out my order.
Soon after, my friends also questioned about his order being incorrect only to have the same lady giggle and laugh at him.
I am very understanding of hospitality work. I understand that these workers are young and likely still high school students and the work is tiring. However, the people that was on shift tonight not only lied to me about my order, they were joking laughing and mucking around, putting together the customers orders seemed to be the last thing on their minds. They were not stressed or working hard (to which I would have lots of understanding and empathy for and will not write such a review) but this lot joked and laughed while people were waiting for ages. I was one of many who waited over 40 minutes for their order tonight. I don’t blame these kids, but management really needs to do something about who they offer jobs to. You definitely lost a regular local customer.
I will be taking my complaint to corporate to get insight on the tech issue as explained to me and...
Read moreI'm sorry for a negative reveiw on the x4 burritos we thought we'd try for the 1st time. We really were disappointed. My wife & I got the pulled pork & the kids got the mince/beef. After the shock of the serving size of these, we thought to ourselves it must taste great. Unfortunately for us there was no mouth watering flavour, other than a soft burrito roll, like you get in the el'paso kits. Plain well cooked white rice. The pulled pork was just that, no marinade at all so quite bland, could easily be mistaken for tuna at glance. No cheese which we ordered. The Salsa tasted like a bruschetta due to the chunks of tomato & red onion mixed with a small amount of lettuce which we paid extra for. Now all the ingredients looked and tasted fresh but honestly didn't make us feel like we had Mexican, I could say the kids said much the same for the beef burrito's too. Honestly, not being over critical and just saying how it was, we wouldn't recommend this to anyone we knew. In terms of size, if you've tried the 'charcoal chicken' the burrito at $16ea via uber eats, would compare to quarter of one of 'charcoal chicken's rolls. BTW Charcoal Chicken's price fit the serving and quality of food compared to...
