Food was okay, service could be a lot better. Not attentive, only one guy on the floor who seemed new was smiling, when he came to order we were just starting to look at the menu, other staffs were all at the counter staring at him and us with no smile at all. We ordered quite a bit from side to bbq meat platter to salad and soup, rice, drinks. Everything came together very quickly. Karage we highly suspected it was pre fried already coz it came very quickly and warm but batter was bit hard not crispy. 5$ large steamed rice was a very stingy portion. No table water served at all till the end of our meal we’ve finished our drink which we also asked for it ourselves. Tried to have eye contact with the staff so I can ask them but no one was looking at the floor, some were looking at their phones some were talking to each other. Finally someone walked close but turned his back very quickly we had to excuse him several times, it was 70% full not too noisy not too busy.
For the price of a bbq place, at least basic attention to the customers and very basic hospitality to your service is all I ask for. I love bbq and happy to pay up to 300$ for a meal. But this place is too cold, not worth coming back again.
It’s a Saturday evening, maybe we were just unlucky that some people were too unhappy with work to have minimum work attitude. 95%...
Read moreWe tried this newly opened Japanese restaurant last night and we're quite happy with the dishes we ordered. We ordered their premium wagyu rib and wagyu ox-tongue, pork neck and tofu seaweed salad as side-dish. The BBQ wagyu are excellent and really premium wagyu.
The prices on the menu are a bit high but the quality match the price, so you get what you paid for. The service and ambience are reasonable for suburban restaurant. They also have lunch bento / donburi set-menu now and we like their fried chicken (karaage) curry-don, ox-tongue don, spicy pork don, and ginger pork (ton shogayaki) bento. The lunch set-menu were nutritionally balanced and yummy with most sets came with miso soup and Japanese style salad.

Read moreService was half-hearted:
I was the second to arrive and when I couldn't see my friends, it took quite an effort to get someone to tell me that they were upstairs; it was quite a large group, so quite a lot of food, but rather than bringing things out in batches, everything was brought to the table at once, which made it very crowded; when another table in the room finished, they only half cleared that table; and the service generally didn't seem to care much.
Try to get a table downstairs because the upstairs is pretty spartan.
Food looked pretty good, though since it's raw, I guess it has to be as there isn't much...
