THE MOST CHILD/PRAM UNFRIENDLY RESTAURANT EVER!!!! If I could rate any lower, I would! I will never go back to this poor service restaurant again. If you plan to go there with your kids or take a pram with you, you should leave them all at home or go to kids/pram friendly places instead. Otherwise, you will be treated differently and uncomfortably by the male Korean staff.
I have been here a few times with my baby in the smallest pram and my hubby or sister. Even before we sit around table, the young and tall male staff who can speak in English and Korean came over to say sort of lists we can’t do in this restaurant. As soon as the table was allocated to us, it took less than a couple of minutes for him to say to us that we can’t put a high chair for my baby in main hall, we should not leave my pram near counter as it will block the way for other customers to pay their bills, I need to sit next to a high chair, and I need to swap the chair that I will sit on, with a highchair so that I can sit outside and the baby can sit inside right next to coffee machine as other customer might trip over the high chair.
I respect all these so I was about to do so but we never felt welcomed from him this time and last time when we met him. He kept saying something only for other customers or their staff, not for us at all. I felt unfair as we didn’t do anything wrong, even we were not able to sit at the table as he didn’t wait for us to settle. He kept telling us what to do intrusively and unfriendly. It was Only because we brought a...
Read moreI tried this new place close to Gordon train station for lunch today and ordered the salmon sashimi donburi mentioned on the menu. It is actually the classic Korean heo-doepbap and it was quite good. The veggies are mixed with salmon sashimi on top of steam rice with Korean gochujang sauce. The portion is good, however I would prefer more sesame oil and vinegar mixed with the rice to create good fragrant smell and it would be much better if there're more than one type of fish sashimi in the bowl e.g. combination of salmon and tuna / kingfish would be better.
The new place has good services and ambience, bright lighting and good decoration. You can pay by credit card with no surcharge, however the price level of the menu seems to be above average compared to cafes around the area.
I've visited the place again for 2nd time last week to try their other brunch items (croissant and poke) and my impression is still the same, i.e. good food but at a bit premium prices compared to other cafes in the area. I particularly like their matcha latte since they use premium...

However, on a recent visit, I ventured to trying the Salmon Combination Palette and it was a visual and taste delight. My 16yo also tried the Korean Pork Poke Bowl and on request they very kindly put to the spicy mayo and wasabi peas on the side so that she could adjust the spice.
One of my favourite local restaurants - definite repeat customers. Absolutely delicious food - the bulgogi bibim bowl is my go-to and the karragge chicken is a standard started to share. (The Katsu Street Toast is also a favourite but it is a breakfast item and has limited availability.) Nice drinks too - even the non-alcoholic ones are special. Quick and easy while still being nice enough for a simple birthday meal. Highly...
