Absolutely yummmmy roast pork banh mi and stuffed full of fresh ingredients~ Edit: Came back to try the BĂșn riĂȘu (crab shrimp paste nope soup) and it is SUPER FLAVOURFUL The shrimp and crab paste was the flavour bomb~ and the chilli balances with the acidity of the tomato-shrimp base soup The soup also came with tofu, fish cakes and pork slices! The rice paper rolls were stuffed with pork slices and prawns, which were paired soooo well with the sauce ~

Heard great things about this place for years, finally visited. The eating area is small (fits around 15 people seated) but I think it contributed to the friendly atmosphere. Quick and friendly service from the business owners. I got the Beef Brisket with Bread Roll - the beef brisket stew is hearty and full of flavour, and the bread is perfect for dipping. Modest serving but filling because of how hearty it is. 5/5.

Always happy to travel a bit more for something very homey. This is the place that can describe it. Clear noodle soup taste great specially in the cool morning. Vietnamese combination congee also another great treat, Served with fried doughtstick. On the weekend usually have the special which is rice rolls. Few thing to choose from such as mushroom, cabbage or taro.

We were the only ones there at 3pm on a Sunday. We decided to try it based off the 4.5/5 star review which usually indicates an above average experience. My suggestion: listen to the reviews that say ‘nothing special’, and ignore everything that awards it 4-5 stars. I wish I had. Despite not being busy, our pork rolls were made with an unnecessary hurriedness. They were just slapped together without the slightest care. Zero consideration for distribution of ingredients. The first half of my pork roll was 99% veggies, with just the essence of meat. 2nd half had no veggies & only meat. Passionless. The McDonald’s of Vietnamese. To describe the food as ‘nothing special’ would be too generous and sadly unearned. I can only give 2 stars because the lady that took our order smiled and was nice. Oh, and the place is dirty. 4 women working in the kitchen, none of which were wearing gloves. They let us use their bathroom which you have to walk through the kitchen to access. What I observed in that kitchen makes me feel like food poisoning is a coin toss here. I’ll update this comment if my fears are realised. Otherwise, I’ll consider myself fortunate to have made it...

Decided to try this place due to their positive reviews and rating. It seems the low price point is a favourable factor for this place. However, their principle for hygiene is appalling.

While my partner was ordering from one lady, the other lady preparing banh mi’s dropped her utensils on the floor. I noticed the floor was quite dirty (wet and soiled) and was hoping she would pick it up and replace it. Instead, once we ordered and moved to the side she picked it up and proceeded to use it to prepare the cold foods.

We kindly asked if she could make a new roll for me and she asked why. My partner explained that she may have ‘accidentally’ dropped the equipment (to be polite rather than blatantly accuse her).

To my surprise, she said she didn’t drop it and disengaged eye contact and continued to make the food.

I kindly requested if it’s still possible she could make me a new one and she said no.

Customer service is one thing. Good customer service is another thing. Hygiene is definitely a thing. But this lady did nothing.

We left without a refund. Will...

Looking for a quick and cheap meal around Homebush, we opted to drop in this snack house. This small store looks simple, unassuming and only have a few things on offer. There were a lot of people who just ordered take away drinks. Having never been here before I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty my vermicelli salad with spring roll was. The dressing was spot on and the spring rolls are crispy, a perfect dish for a summer’s day. I've heard the pork rolls here are good so I’ll probably give it a try another day.

The place looks relatively clean, service is great and the owner seems like mighty friendly lady.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Value: 4/5 Visit again: Yes Try these: Vermicelli salad...
