This was the worst meal I’ve ever had. I wish I didn’t eat here and my parents wished they could throw up or eat senokot to rid their stomachs of this horror. This was our first time trying this restaurant despite visiting the Flemington area for the last 15 years. Entering the restaurant it was very dull and stuffy, (even though it was cold outside). We ordered chicken fried rice ($17), fried rice noodle with chicken ($17) and sizzling Mongolian chicken ($27) (ridiculous). Chicken fried rice: there was barely any chicken in the meal. The rice was hard like it was undercooked or stale and the dish was also very oily. Fried rice noodle with chicken: this dish was under seasoned, there was no spice or salt despite again being very oily. The chicken was also slightly undercooked and hard. Mongolian chicken: I wish we never ordered the meal. As soon as the hot plate was placed on the table, 3 to 4 baby cockroaches came out of the wooden board the sizzling plate was sitting on. We quickly squashed them with tissues so they wouldn’t go on the other meals. But as we were eating 1 or 2 more baby cockroaches came out. The chicken was very undercooked, it was hard to chew and not easy to cut through. I couldn’t believe it was $27!! Obviously, we didn’t finish any of the meals even though we were starving. I’m usually very good at taking photos but honestly I was just in shock and wanted to leave. We ended up paying $61ish for all meals. We didn’t ask for a refund as we didn’t want to cause issues however, it is important to receive constructive feedback and for future customers to know what they are getting...

The restaurant next door had very long line up, so my husband and I decided to eat in this restaurant to save waiting time. We received our food in 10 mins which was great! My husband's dish (sizzling egg omelette with fried tofu) was so salty we both couldn't eat it, I ordered (Mongolia beef) it was a safe and easy food, nothing could go wrong. We had a few pieces of the beef, all was well until I spooned my second serve of beef into my plate. I ate the piece of beef in my plate, then I saw a small black piece on my plate, at first I thought it might just be a black bean? But looking closing it was a FLY! The fly had been cooked and tossed around in the sauce! I called for the waiter to come see, she agreed it was a fly and said she will get the chef to cook another. I didn't feel like eating another dish after seeing the cooked fly, it was gross. I went to pay my bill, the lady (owner) said nothing, I asked her if she was aware I had a cooked fly in my Mongolia beef dish? She replied "oh yeah, and you didn't eat much of your dish so I will charge you half the price?" What? I don't like to make a fuss so I paid my bill quickly and left, this restaurant will be going in my DO NOT EAT RESTAURANT list. I did not take a photo, didn't want to...

I was very impressed with the service at Saigon B&B in Flemington. From the moment we arrived the staff opened the door for us and were warm and attentive even before we ordered. It created such a welcoming atmosphere.

The meals here are huge, easily generous enough to share, and absolutely packed with flavour. We had the lemongrass chicken with steamed rice which was full of vibrant flavour and the beef brisket stew with noodles which came in a rich hearty broth that was deeply satisfying.

The complimentary hot tea on the table was a lovely touch. It wasn’t just your standard green tea either, it tasted more like a red oolong with a smooth depth of flavour that was absolutely delicious and really added to the experience.

I’ll definitely be back. After returning here for the first time in years I was not disappointed. It is just as good as I remember and worth...

*** Update a year later *** The place starting to look a little run down. Bowls have changed for Pho, seem a tad larger. I was actually hoping the place remains with the good impression we had previously. But unfortunately this was not the case. We ordered a few dishes, the condiments served up and waiting for the meals. Saw a hair sticking up on the outside of the bowls of sauces. Then the meals came out etc. Midway eating some and my daughter was attempting to break up the noodles between part in mouth and part still in bowl and realised something stringy. Noticed another dye coloured hair which was quite long, partially down her throat and pulling it out of her mouth and in the bowl. We didn't complain or make a fuss about it, paid and leave and will be our last return. It's unfortunate. Hopefully no one else had the same experiences. It's ashame this happened.

This my favourite place for bon bo hue!! / Delicious, satisfying and well-cooked food with good and quick service. We have been coming here for many years now but it has recently(?) changed locations. Although it is still around the same shopping sort of strip. The bon bo hue soup had the depth that many places lacked, all the cuts of pork and beef and the chilli satay was so tasty. Soup was SO tasty. A very satisfying portion as well. The crispy chicken with tomato rice was massive as well! Chicken skin was crispy, tomato rice was aromatic and tasty, the chicken itself was very juicy and well-cooked. Came with the usual pickled veggies and nuoc nam. They gave a huge amount of rice too. Food came out so quickly as well, a little more than 5 minutes. Food was still fresh.
