I’ve been going to Harry’s Cafe de Wheels, Tempe in the past and was very disappointed in the customer service given by the lady who works there. Sad to say I don’t plan to go back.
I love having the Hot Dog de Wheel and a Tiger Pie but yesterday I came home to tasting a sour flavour mashed peas, this wasn’t a minor sour and instead was a strong sour taste that left me feeling awful. I was worried something might be off about my Tiger pie and tried the hotdog peas to see if this was the case. The same sour taste was in both my pie and hotdog peas. Peas normally shouldn’t taste sour and if it did I’ll be questioning the freshness.
I called the Harry’s cafe Tempe and it was the lady who answered, I explained the situation that there was a sour taste in the peas whether she tried it, she hasn’t and insist on saying they changed the ingredient. I don’t mind if a business finds a cheaper ingredient supplier but to completely alter the taste of a famous product as if someone poured a cup of vinegar into your mash peas has crossed the line.
I advised that it doesn’t taste right and a big taste change like that shouldn’t customers be informed?! Is their head office across this?!
As a disappointed and angry customer I hoped that her customer service level would help to resolve this. I WAS SO WRONG she didn’t even show empathy for what I had to say about the product, let alone want to keep a returning customer.
Instead she advised ‘we are not going to change our ingredient because of one customer' and hanged up on me! There is many ways she could have better handle the situation, offer refund, exchange product or give the feedback to the manager! But hanging up on a customer is not one of them.
Clearly customer service is not a priority here. This is my first negative review I have given and I would usually give the business a chance to address and dissatisfied service but this review I...
Read moreI dont expect 5 star fine dining when stopping at harrys but the original has never disappointed ! Tempe tonight was the worst experience I have ever had🤢 I first ordered the beef tiger usually pretty good... I got what I can only describe as sinew, veins, fat and offcuts in gravy ! I then thought id put that aside and give them the benefit of the doubt and get a hotdog with cheese amd tomatoe sauce ... it was the sloppiest i have ever seen, the entire bun was covered in messy tomatoe sauce and freezing cold cheese sauce that was splitting .. so gross! I decide to risk it and take one bite into a stone cold hotdog that was a strange orange colour.. not the hotdog I've seen come out of Harry's before.. I left feeling sick and utterly disappointed. I don't go often but will probably never visit them again. I think the extended menu has meant they dropped their game on the origional menu and they...
Read moreIt's easy to find as it's on the main road. Parking is free and a breeze on site. Good selection of food that caters to a wide variety of palettes. It's starting to look old and tired. Seats are worn and ripped. It's not the cleanest place. The window sills in the eating area look like no ones wiped them down in a while. With the windows open in the enclosed eating area, you could smell the urinal cakes. Maybe I'm too particular, but whoever does the cleaning misses a fair few items. I had to wipe down my table and throw away the rubbish left by the previous customers. I expect a better presentation of the premises when I pay $10 for a pie, $9.50 for a hot dog, $6.00 for chips, and $6.00 for a small milkshake. Food is satisfactory. It's a little on the pricey side but a good treat...
