As a first timer it can be a bit deceiving finding this place as it is part of or attached to the local golf club. We were three adults and an infant there for an early dinner on Saturday Feb 1. Its a pleasant, inviting restaurant with some lovely views of the coast. We ordered as an entrée, the Tasting Plate for 2 to Share. It was a bit hit and miss. What I didn't like was the olives with pips in them, skewers were a bit bland, not a fan of duck liver pate. The rest was good. I had the confit duck of leg. It was excellent and combined very well with lentils and blood orange dressing. We also had the tennis ball sized Herb & Buffolo Mozzarella Arancini and Linguine con Pesce. Both great dishes. The linguine was one of the best pasta meals I have eaten anywhere. Ordered the hand cut duck fries which were good too. For my daughter we got the Bolognese from the kids menu which was great. For dessert I had Traditional Viennese Apple Strudel. The Strudel, Vanilla sauce and fresh fruit was fantastic. Overall, really enjoyed my meal and the ambience. I would highly recommend you dine here. Huge portions, great value and service and fresh, great tasting, well presented dishes. As I advise all good restaurants, don't become complacent. Keep up the...
Read moreIf I said the oysters weren't the best I've had then I'd be showing off, I reckon. But there you go. Has an amazing view. Bar staff are hugely accommodating although I always figured a mojito was a basic cocktail every bar keep ought know how to make. Maybe I drink too many? The zucchini flowers were pretty nice and the barramundi hugely filling but the highlight for me was my wife's sea food linguini. What a taste, what a flavour! Good place to go with old friends. (As in have known them for ages, not that S&B are old, none of us are old until we are) Shame about the recent shark tragedy. Jokes will be inevitable but we ought consider...
Read moreMy husband and I lunched on Thursday at Henrys and we ordered a flathead dish with salad and chips each. We wanted the fish pan fried , grilled or baked however the chef told us that he couldn't do any of these options. We agreed o the battered fish and said we would scrape the batter off. Scraping away the batter revealed next to no fish only more batter. Also the fish appeared to be recooked. Still there was worse to come. The chips were stale and had obviously been recooked. The salad consisted of lettuce half a small tomato and onion The worst meal we have ever had at Henrys....... very disappointing! Will...
