KFC Ashfield — Restaurant in Sydney

Dear KFC,

I just posted a rather huge complaint on your Facebook page, and you deleted it. So this time I will screenshot it and share it. Over and over again.

Now that is out of the way. Tonight my boyfriend and I went into your Paramatta road restaurant near Ashfield in Sydney, NSW. When we got our takeaway order home, we discovered that the chips you had supplied looked and tasted as if they were a day old, dry, cold and hard, they had been out of your store for less than 10 minutes, as we live so close by. The 'ceaser wrap' I ordered had no dressing, a few sad and wilted pieces of lettuce tossed together with a few pitiful tomato pieces and stale croutons. The wrap itself was so poorly packaged that we we first opened the bag, there it was, laying atop the wrinkled paper, the bread open and floppy. This poor attempt at a menu item had been so haphazardly thrown together that it more closely resembled rubbish than a ceaser wrap. The chicken was mostly cold and pathetic in size, we had shed our hard earned coin for little more than two over priced drinks and some very sad plants masquerading as a meal.

This is the third time we have visited this store and returned homes with our meals in this very condition. The same store, at different times of the day at different times of the year, suggesting that your serviced and regard for quality food and customer service is as disgusting as the meal I threw away tonight.

You should be ashamed of yourselves, ashamed of the way you train your staff and ashamed that you delete my post without so much as contacting me.

To be honest I had completely lost interest in you, and tonights doomed trip to your store was nothing more than a momentary episode of weakness, brought about by my boyfriends last legs of faith that you might produce food worth eating.

Rest assured, we will never visit your store again.

A really pissed off and disgruntled...

I wouldn't rate them as low as1 because they have improved slighty. I have had some long waits at the drive through up to 5 to 10 minutes at times. Food hasn't been the greatest with the chicken and chips not always as hot as they should be. Some slight improvements with the food but I had bacon on a burger recently it was really tough and over cooked, left in the warmer to long. The staff are mostly pleasant but there are some who are sour in their attitude. Contacted KFC customer service but nothing really improves. They are improving wait time is still slow but not as slow as it used to be. Depending on the time you go there the food is either hot or below warm. The accuracy of the order is not always great with things missing or the items in the order being wrong despite the fact you may order through their app. A big problem is they don't have individual serviettes. They come wrapped in plastic with a straw and a spoon. They put a lot in your order even when you ask them not to. We don't use them and they go straight into the bin. What a waste. After I wrote the above rating I had further problems here. I ordered through the app, when I got to the drive thru they couldn't find the order I was sent to the carpark to wait for my order waited 10 minutes nothing happened. I called the store and found out they forgot about me and hadn't even started my order. Never going back to KFC. Black balled them and I tell everyone I know about what they're like. Firstly, I am utterly disappointed with the quality and service here at KFC Ashfield, NSW. I’ve been going here for many years now for my Kentucky fried chicken fix, but ever since they had their latest “renovation”, I feel that their overall quality and service has totally gone downhill (dramatically). First and foremost my chicken always comes out cold and the cold chips are UNSEASONED or NOT FULLY COOKED. My chips taste so bland, dry and NOT EDIBLE.

How on earth do you forget to season the chips? THEY ARE KNOWN FOR BEING THE BEST TASTING CHIPS FOR A TAKE OUT JOINT, but recently their chips have been taking a trip to THE TRASH BIN. It tastes bland and is nowhere as near as freshly cooked as they claim to be. As for their chicken and drumsticks, the sizing has dramatically decreased if you haven’t noticed...Where’s the ACTUAL FRIED CHICKEN? Why isn’t management evaluating this? Are they that BLIND to see what terrible food they’re bringing out to the customers? To add to that, I ordered an Original Recipe Ultimate Box - everything was just not up to my expectations. The chicken burger tasted DRY AS EVER with barely any mayo to it (along with strings of lettuce). The gravy was watered down heaps and very runny...where is the potato in it all? Last but not least, don't start me with the chips. They're inedible, half cooked and bland as ever. Thanks KFC for giving me the shittiest experience EVER.

Moving forward I definitely will not be wasting my money on this take out joint.
