Honestly, No words can describe this Cafe. Now I'm not a fan of writing reviews but when I left Kylon today I would've felt Guilty if I didn't. Came to the Cafe having a rough day (argument with the missus). As soon as I walked in I was greeted with 2 young gentlemen who provided me with exeptional service. Greeted me with a smile bigger than the grand canyon, sat me down and engaged in a lovely conversation before taking my coffee order. Service was impeccable, within 2 minutes I received my Coffee. Now Food wise, May I suggest the eggs on toast with sides of your choice or chilli eggs. They also have vegetarian and vegan options. After finishing my food and going to pay. One of the gentlemen there struck up a lovely conversation. I told him I was having a rough day so and so. He said to me One thing I will never forget which was that I have to 'look forward to the good things in life and that obstacles in life will challenge you but its about you respond to those challenges". Overall Highly rate this cafe and make sure you...
Read moreMy brother and I visited Kylon Eatery in Hurlstone Park over the weekend. I like the decor of the cafe with its plants, navy tones and brass cutlery. Given the spacing out of diners with Covid regulations, we choose to sit outside. Service is friendly and prompt and our coffee order is taken quickly. We order a flat white and espresso, and the coffee is good, they use one of our faves from Deluca.
The food menu is great too, so many options we would order with a range of salads, eggs cheese, toast and burgers. It was lunch time so we opted for a salad and a sandwich to share.
The Smashed pumpkin sandwich 🥪 with smoked Spinach, Labna, Beetroot Aoli on crispy sourdough. Reasonably priced at just $10!
We also had a healthy Brunch Bowl with Kale, broccolini, quinoa, sprouts, pickled beetroot, pea shoots & preserve lemon dressing. It is Vegan and GF, but we opted to add poached eggs for a protein hit.
We really liked it here and would...
Read moreHad already seen good reviews so had to check it out for myself. Heard that the decor was nice. I found that it was an austere looking place. Unsure whether it was due to the more widely spaced Covid seating. It is crying out for some warm coloured wood or something and some wall art to go with the plain dark blue walls and concrete flooring. Also the plants could have been real ones. Now to the food. I was really impressed with my granola bowl with a wobbly coconut chia pudding in the middle. With yummy fresh fruits and quality grains, I was so happy with this. My companion wasn’t so sold on his eggs Benedict. Coffee was nice. It’s not somewhere that wowed me enough to return. I just think with a few touches it would be a classier and cosier place to...
