Followed path from Close Street Reserve - it’s a beautiful walk by the river with awesome views pretty much anytime of the day. Lots of joggers, cyclists, people walking their dogs or just out for a walk. You can walk along both sides of the river , there’s a few bridges along the track connecting both sides, spotted a little mail box to leave or borrow books. Council is in the process of building a skate park with various rails n benches ( 2022 ). There’s also a dog park up at Close Street, which was a bit muddy due to all the rain, it has a few obstacles, nice to stop & let doggy go for a run...

There's a really nice deck at the entrance, like a pseudo pier of sorts (we do yoga there sometimes with friends).
When I was there last, there were kids soccer matches on, plenty of people cycling and running and walking.
4 stars though for two reasons: bathrooms not maintained at all which I feel should be a must in any public park especially of this scale.
And two, people are sometimes cold(ish) / passive aggressive - cyclists are unhappy with walkers and joggers...
