I have been visiting Kyo Sushi in Wentworth Point for about 4 years now, and I would have to say that it’s a great spot for sushi.

Food (Freshness, in particular) The sushi here is great. Most things are fresh, especially the salmon and tuna, which had that buttery texture you expect from high-quality seafood. The nigiri is well-balanced, with just the right amount of rice, and the rolls were packed with flavour without being overloaded. The sashimi plates are beautifully presented, and you could tell the seafood was handled with care.

Vibe The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming feel. It’s not overly fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable, making it a nice spot for a casual meal or date night. There’s a mix of counter seating and tables, and the space is well-lit without feeling too bright. It does get a bit busy during peak hours, so there’s a bit of a line and some chats in the background, but that just adds to the lively atmosphere.

Customer Service (top ngl) Qiu and the rest of the team here are always professional, friendly, and efficient. Despite how busy it gets, food comes at a good pace. Staff are happy to make recommendations when asked, and there was no issue with small requests like making little adjustments to orders. In the 4 years i have visited this spot, i’ve never had a bad visit.

Overall, Kyo Sushi is a great spot if you’re after fresh, well-made sushi in a casual and comfortable setting. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area and making it a regular if...

SEND THIS to your sushi loving valentine 💕🍣 (they owe you a sushi date)

I LOVE @kyosushiau - Jun and I visited on our 6 month anniversary last Valentine’s Day and it felt super special coming back this year 🥰

With their high quality produce and amazing specialty sushi, @kyosushiau is the PERFECT place to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year 🥰 (or any other date for that matter) They have monthly specials that promote beautifully fresh seasonal produce! We had: 💕 Conger Eel (✨) - AMAZING I loved the sweet almost caramelized preparation of the eel! zero fishiness it was a dream 💕 Fois Gras (✨) - if you love being punched in the face with flavor, I definitely recommend the RICH fois gras sushi! 💕 Paradise Prawn Nigiri (✨) - buttery soft mouth feel that’s super delicious. I surprisingly loved this! 💕 Sashimi Platter (✨) - beautiful spread of sashimi including squid, salmon, tuna and scallops! Felt super spoilt with this one 💕 Sashimi Taco 💕 Scampi Sashimi 💕 Salmon and Shrimp Open Face Sushi

They also have happy hour beers, 50% off until 5pm on weekdays! And if you join their membership, you can earn towards a lil something for your future visits!

Overall I LOVE @kyosushiau! Their range is incredible and the new private booth is genuinely perfect for a cute date/group celebration!

Thank you @spread_love_food and @famediaau for organising so well and @kyosushiau for hosting us!

For more local food reccs near and far alongside snippets of life, come hang out with me...

I've been coming here for years now and have always enjoyed it but my recent visit really shocked me so I just had to write a review.

I'm not sure if the management has changed but I've noticed a number of sanitary concerns that I think they should take note of it. When the waiters were clearing the tables for the next customers, they brought out a bin to wipe the rubbish into it. I have never in my life seen a rubbish bin being brought out to the dining area and placed right next to another customer, whilst cleaning the table next to them. It's very disgusting and off-putting, no rubbish bins should be taken out to the customer tables, or let alone used right next to them. If it's that dirty, use another cloth or make another trip. I understand you guys are trying to get people in and out quickly but hygiene should never ever be compromised.

The other thing I noticed was that one of the chefs was flicking his wet hand around as he was preparing the food. The water was dripped onto the sushi surrounding it, which wasn't pleasant to see.

Kitchen staff were also running around with food in tongs instead of placing it on a plate. Was very unusual for a Japanese restaurant.

Overall, I don't feel like they care about hygiene and especially in a restaurant where customers get to see the food being prepared, they need to make sure that they are upholding proper food preparation standards. I'm not sure if I will...

This Restaurant was once very nice to go to, however my last 2 visits where not so enjoyable due to the fact that each time I have gone I've wanted to use my Dine and Discovery Vouchers and each time the cashier/waiter tells me they are invalid? I haven't even used them, so makes no sense at all. Today, when I arrived the music was so loud that I couldn't even hear the waiter talking to me when we arrived, we were seated and then I asked them to please turn the music down so I could enjoy the meal. They obliged and I ate my meal. We were told we couldn't order anything off the menu as it was between lunch and dinner even though there was 5 chefs behind the counter working away preparing food for dinner ,so we had to eat what was left on the train and who knows how long it had been sitting on there? Anyway, time to pay the bill and same issue with the Dine/Discover Voucher not valid even though they haven't been used before???????? Unfortunately this will be my last time to this restaurant and I will go to my favourite Japanese restaurant Kiljura in Ashfield. 🍣🥣🍱🍤 Please note: attached photo Dine and Discover NSW voucher VALID Expiry 30 June 2022!!!!!!
