La Campagna — Restaurant in Sydney

Went here with my husband last Friday after hearing mixed comments from friends about the noise and long waits. However we had a wonderful meal although we had to book at 6.30. to get a table and were not able to sit outside as we had hoped. The menu is mostly in Italian and the staff were happy to explain the parts we didn't understand and give us an idea of portion sizes. The antipasto starter for two was excellent, with calamari, prawns, prosciutto etc The only disappointing part were the two slices of "soccer ball " ham which we left. The additional warm black olives were delicious too. I was full but my husband went on to have the spaghetti marinara with homemade pasta which he enjoyed. Our waitress brought me a plate so I could sample some! We certainly had no long waits and our waitress asked us how long we wanted to wait until the main course arrived. I had the three scoops of ice cream ...well 4 arrived which was just OK ice cream. I would have preferred a coupLe of scoops of excellent quality ice cream. My husband had the panna cotta which is a favourite of his, but thought it was too heavy. Corkage was only $2 a head which was a pleasant surprise. We sat next to a large open window so the noise of a large party was not a problem. Outside seating although overlooking the car park would have been preferable . Will certainly return and hope hey do well here. Have a feeling that there maybe a group of lovely Italian ladies working hard in the kitchen...

I have been getting deliveries from La Campagna for a couple of years now. Have always had great experience with them. I use their website to order online mainly, but use also Menulog etc. Only once they forgot the drinks, but came straight back with it. I usually create my own pizza with all the extras they offer for no extra charge. I always ask for pesto sauce base and this request is never any trouble. The website is...ok...just a few little links don't work. I wanted to find out "about us" and the link is not working from the confirmation order page. I would like some reward system set up. For example, for every 10th pizza's ordered, you get a cheesy pizza free or similar priced item. As most businesses provide a reward incentive or loyalty program. But really nothing bad to say, great food, great customer service, great...

Ever since we started living near the shop, we were thinking to try but couldn’t. But when we made an order online due to system error we lost the money and got confirmation email even though the shop was closed early that day. Unfortunately the next day we went there, they couldn’t find our order too.. it was overall an unpleasant first experience . However they made our order without charging again and it was one of the best pizzas we have ever had.. We loved the Tiramisu as well. We will definitely go back again. I suggest everyone to call the store to order to avoid issues like...
